Just reported in formal 8k filing by PURE:
The owner of Subway, the largest food chain in the world, through Franchise Brands, LLC, just invested $4million in PURE Bioscience as a strategic investment. This strongly implies that some very large restaurant chains will soon start buying “SDC” in very large quantities. Do you think it might be the 45,000 restaurant Subway?
Several other major QSR’s are likely to follow soon.
PURE is very STRONG BUY because they have almost $8 million in cash, the biggest breakthrough in food safety in decades using biotechnology, and revenues that are about to explode.

Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on ANAC at TheTechTrader site noting: Anacor Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ANAC) had another great day. Looking back to the little top in Jan, and another top April, those highs were taken out last week, it pulled back and tested, and on Thursday, it blew through it again, with a 25.48 high, and closed at the high going away at the highest level ever, a new all-time high. It looks like it wants to go higher. Look for it to head up toward the 29-30 range, which is the next target for ANAC.

Sentiment: Strong Buy
Harry has posted Charts of the Day video on ANAC at TheTechTrader site noting: Anacor Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ANAC) multiple highs, three in fact, were taken out with a thrust on Tuesday, up 94 cents, or 5%, on 857,900 shares traded. That’s the biggest volume in about three weeks. More importantly, though, is that the base was broken. At this point, the targets are 23-23 1/2, followed by a mid-channel target of 27. It’s looking good.
Better solution is to jump into a wood chipper
Fair enough. But the body of evidence has to start somewhere. Keep it in mind if you have a tough case that isn't getting better. It's worth a try from what I have seen.
I'm an internist and part of a group that doesn't do any free pharmaceutical samples because of the ethical reasons involved, and personally I prefer to wait until there's a body of evidence first anyways before trying out anything on patients. My dermatology colleagues generally feel the same.
I wonder how much higher this stock can go since no earnings numbers thus far published show anything about the $40 mil coming in soon or the additional cash coming in for 2015. Yahoo still shows losses for the remainder of 2014 and year-end.
Does anyone have the 'real numbers/estimates'?
What kind of doctor are you? If you have any tough eczema or other rash type cases, I'm sure the True Lipids people would love to have you give their products a try so you can see for yourself. I'm pretty sure they are giving free samples out to doctors. Call them and let us know how it goes.
I wouldn't exactly call it a miracle cure except maybe in some cases like the lady with the lupus. It is more like a part of a system for treating eczema that is very effective. There are a lot of things people can do to reduce eczema in addition to putting topicals over it. If they follow they system correctly, they are far more likely to have success. Having a doctor involved to educate and follow up would be very good. Most people, as you know, just want a magic pill that requires no work on their part.
I guess what I would say is doctors respond to evidence. If there really is a new miracle cure out there, it will be tested and proven to work in well-done, randomized controlled studies. At least for me, that's what it takes for me to prescribe something to my patients. Until such studies are completed, I wouldn't worry too much about the market being stolen away by an over-the-counter medication.
I don't know the active ingredients off the top of my head. I know there are patents pending. A big part of the strategy is keeping the right ph balance. Some ingredients are naturally anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial, just like natural skin oils are. Sounds too simple, but it hasn't been done before and it works. I know the dermatologist first started developing the product because there is nothing satisfactory out there as far as skin care products to treat eczema. And even the high end moisturizers have some hypoallergenic ingredients and the wrong ph. So she developed the True Lipids after a lot of research. Gave it to various patients to try out and had results better than they were expecting. Some were shockingly good. As far as studies, I don't know a lot of what has been done there. I know they did patch testing on couple hundred people for allergic reactions and had none. The combination of ingredients seems to make the steroids far more effective than they otherwise would be in small doses. That seems to be why the lupus patient had such good results even though she had previously tried powerful steroids without success. ANAC's product may actually be a good combo with a True Lipids ointment on top. That would be a very interesting study.
I think you had another post, but it seems to have disappeared. Sorry if you had a specific question there.
What is the active ingredient in True Lipids? That's what I saw in my review of their cream but I may have been looking at just one particular formulation.
White petrolatum is certainly not the active ingredient in True Lipids. And they do have a steroid cream. My daughter had numular dermatitis and white petrolatum did nothing for her. Neither did anything else we tried. A few days of the True Lipids ointment (no steroids) and it was almost gone. After about 10 days, it was completely gone. I mean soft, smooth baby skin again. I have also seen a lady with systemic lupus and a nasty rash over most of her body. She had been from doctor to doctor trying to treat the rash. Nothing worked until True Lipids. In a couple weeks it was like she had new skin. It was really quite astounding. I don't know, but I doubt ANAC's product could have helped her like that. I only bring it up because I am near where True Lipids is based and I know some of the people running it, so I know several people using it with similar successful results after other stuff failed them. I really believe ANAC is going to have trouble selling as much as they thought at $300 a tube. But it will be prescription, so that will help since True Lipids is OTC and small, so far.
I have also always wondered why MSFT has spent billions and billions competing against AAPL and GOOG when they could have just put a fraction of the money into buying up their stock when it was cheap. If you know what I am saying.
Eh I wouldn't worry too much about white petrolatum (the active ingredient in True Lipids). It's been around forever, True Lipids is just a new brand name. Barriers / emmoliants are an important component eczema treatment but steroids / anti-inflammatories are what really decrease inflammation. Anecdotal experience is powerful but ultimately misleading.
