This board has no clue about quality. It is a mistake to shift from specialized reefer ships to containers. The transport time to Europe doubles and shelve lives reduces. Chiquita banana becomes a commodity.
There is a lot more to it that just the FE purchase, which was ridiculous. Fernando was a mess from day one. He couldn't lead, or manage. He drove away the keepers and brought in his buddies (Tanios = horrible!). The stock dropped by 2/3 under his "watch"..Where was the Board? Asleep, and even more asleep when they brought in Lonergan who didn't cut it in his last job. Kerrii ruined Wendys and now she, Ed and the rest of them are ruining CQB. You need to look no further than seeing that Lonergan unloaded his stock. Stay away. Stay far, far away.
This looks like a value stock. A Chiquita secret.Press Release

The debt they incurred for this stupid deal will never get paid back. What a waste!
