The only reason why they would buy QTM is for Stornext! as they already resell it. Other than that I don't see them buying QTM
Ah yes, the quarterly, 'QTM will be bought by ?' game. Today it is HP. For about the 20th time in the last 10 years. When someone like HP says it is interested is acquisitions, they mean start-ups with real growth potential. Not companies like QTM that are 50% tape libraries which HP doesn't really want to deal with. Buying QTM would not be that 'wow' step that HP investors would want to see. Actually, HP would be laughed at.
