The decline can't be explained other than that the earnings r very bad and it is leaked thru insiders. I'm not insider and have no idea about the earning. Usually the history of this company around earning shows that somebody always know what is going on. If stock decli nes next earningdecline coparably
When are the earnings going to be released? What rare the expectations? Why do you think they are going to be bad?
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Why does this stock continue to go down each every week?
Are they filing for BK anytime?
It is just astonishing to see the steady decline of stock price when they have over 500 million dollar revenue.
I simply don't get it.
Does ANYONE on this board have ANY idea about what is going on with this company?
According to Vanguard tribune "Thomson Reuters completed its industry survey and following that it has given a 52-week price estimate of $22.50 to ModusLink Global Solutions, Inc (NASDAQ:MLNK) stock"
Points taken. One positive is I dont think Steel Partners wants their investment to evaporate so they could have that "poison pill" retracted if they feel there is no recovery with current management. They do have board seats. I have been watching MLNK for almost a year. I have traded it at times but finally took a buy and hold position. If the margin of safety I currently have with my entry price starts to lessen due to operating losses going forward I will sell out. But at THIS TIME I think there is a good chance the stock will either go up for a nice return ($2+) or a offer/merger will take place. I understand there is alot of disgruntled older longs here and rightfully so. But I have no baggage and am looking at this as a 6 month investment. If my tagerts dont play out then I will be long gone.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
SEC rules doesn't prevent other companies from sharing info with investors and doesn't prevent them from having conf calls w shareholders and analysts. Defending the indefenless and finding excuses (like blaming SEC regulations) is cheer leading. Your posts gloss over negatives and mention only positives. I'm long here but I don'y only see positives. you need to list negatives yo balance ur posts. y do u think the stock has been on a long term decline if what u mention as"truth" is true? it is not personal but u need to give new investors true picture
Not a cheerleader...you are right about the lack of information...they are "insiders"....every company has them....what's new....SEC rules limit forward looking comments...
BTW its not cheerleading if it is the truth....
you are a cheer leader for HNH. You base ur investment on best case scenario and ur feeling. HNH controls everything here and there is no transperancy w them. It is hard to know when to buy or sell without info. u got lucky once w them but u'd have been luckier and wouldn't have left money on the table if u had more info. All ur posts r cheer leading
Wheeler...I made some good money on HNH...and that how I got here....got in way to soon on MNLK...got out way too early on HNH. So yes timing is everything. BTW HNH made money....SPLP made money...Steel's control of MNLK is fairly new, a few years. The time frame is longer than you think for a return.
The value here is in the NOLs, maybe $10 a share. SO MLNK is not selling anything plus there is a provision in place to protect the NOLs...so no sale.
MLNK will be a buyer but when is part of that timing thing...I have been wrong on the timing....
Hope you bring us some luck...
HNH is buying SLI...so I do not see the issue with HNH...
In addition SLI was up four time its share value over four year...so now tell me the problem,,,
Somebody wants to be greedy...probably the lawyers...certain not Steels fault they made a good deal just not sure why they do not do it for MLNK....
see what happened w SL industries. Shareholders has no say w the sale. u just need the BOD to agree. SEC is a asleep and u have no rights
Do they make you sell to them at that low price?
Is HNH acquiring shares at this low price?
Could another fund be driving the price down to acquire cheat shares?
Inquiring minds want to know...
"SL INDUSTRIES (SLI) ALERT: Johnson & Weaver, LLP Launches an Investigation into the Fairness of Price and Process in Proposed Sale of SL Industries, Inc.; Are Shareholders Getting a Fair Price?" drive the shares down very low then acquire at low price and call it premium price
