Nice volume along with price appreciation, hoping for a close above $3.90. Letès see if they can hold their gains or selloff last 5 minutes of market
Seems that someone is screening posts and scrubbing. Earnings look fine to me. A little lower than I wanted as Go Pro didn't back fill as much of the HP revenue as I thought it would. Positive EBITDA overall though on a shoulder quarter. Seems like they should put up $13-$15mm in EBITDA this year which keeps them solidly cash flow positive. No change to the NOL thesis. HNH is sucking up every share they can get. Outside of any split shares left to sell, I am not sure who in their right mind would sell at these levels given insiders have authorization to buy up to 45% and are +50% of daily volumes. Lets see if this gets deleted. If it does, future posts will refer to earnings as "cheeseburgers".
I check in now and then for some words of wisdom....but we sit and wait as the 3rd quarter is coming to a close....volume has dried up ad HNH has stopped buying...
Only news is over at Medifast with a change in the BOD...they should be thrilled to do a deal would add to their value...but as with the old MLNK these are BOD/employees milking the Company...
Maybe we can get a smaller deal done elsewhere...maybe MEDI was never a target but a "deal" with other investors to put pressure on management...
Either way we are "watching paint dry" here at MLNK.....
HNH is using MLNK to get board memberships to its officers using MLNK borrowed money. We need to benefit too. I'd like a board membership to get paid for attending few meetings
Thanks for the update...must of been some other buyers given the volume so there are some followers on board with this stock
On 03/19/2015, they bought 497 shares at a price of $3.68.
On 03/20/2015, they bought 128,553 shares at an average price of $3.6997.
That bring the total of their direct holdings to 2,427,906 shares.
The 128,553-share buy on Friday confirms my suspicion that they were in the market for more than their usual amount. Today's volume and bump in price make me think they were at it again today, and if so, we should see an amended 13D filing very soon laying out the group's total position - I think it's somewhere around 35% of shares outstanding.
On 03/09/2015, they purchased 42,652 MLNK shares at a price of $3.66 per share.
On 03/10/2015, they purchased 42,652 @ an average of price of $3.5378.
That brings their direct holdings as of yesterday to 2,070,928 MLNK shares.
Interesting that they bought the exact same amount of shares on Mon. & Tues. Also interesting that they seem 2b able to continue to buy shares without causing an appreciable bump up in the share price. On this occasion, they were aided by the "timely" announcement of a shelf offering, as that almost always puts downward pressure on share prices.
I just took a quick look back through the last several earnings reports, and in general, MLNK reports after the market close, so I guess we should be looking for something tomorrow, though I probably won't be back from the latest in what seems like an endless series of doctors' appointments. I'm looking forward to picking through their 10Q for any small scraps of information.
Avoid MLNK if you want to keep your trading account healthy. I am now playing Ultimate Stock Alerts (they are in Google, do a search), they give awesome picks
Share price tanked right about the time the SEC published it (1:41).
Here's a clip:
Use of Proceeds
Unless otherwise indicated in any applicable prospectus supplement, the net proceeds from any sale of securities by us will be used for general corporate purposes, which may include potential acquisitions and other strategic business opportunities. No material acquisitions are probable at this time. If we decide to use the net proceeds from a particular offering of securities for a specific purpose other than as set forth above, we will describe that in the related prospectus supplement. In the case of a sale of common stock by the selling stockholder, we will not receive any of the proceeds from such sale. We will receive proceeds from the exercise of warrants by the selling stockholder.
Pretty much exactly what they've said all along - boilerplate language, but why raise this kind of money if you're NOT going to do a deal??
all555, It is programmatic trading. If a institutional buyer wants 1mm shares of this. They break up the order, probably not sending in more than 25% of average daily ticker volume for a daily buy. At that point they trade with a volume weighted average price and limit. The computer program does the rest and trades in 100 share increments. The sellers on the other side are doing the same thing. So no one is actually pressing a button to execute each 100 lot trade. The bigger 3000 blocks that you see come up buy or sell are probably retail guys.
it seems short interest is not changing. This short interest probably got initiated by the convertible bond holders. They will be burned if price/share spiked above $7. They r not worried and they r smart money so I assume we have long time before we go above $6

Here's some of my comments...
1) It appears there is no "deal" on the horizon just from comments in the shelf and an almost advertisement they are looking for Companies in the Seeking Alpha summary (I had not seen it in the 10Q)....
2) Steel seems to be right sizing the Company given the direction of revenues (down)...comments where made that another $2 million has been cut for the next year...
3) Just OK quarter...could of been a disaster given the drop in revenue...we make money without the big interest expense...and that will soon or later be new deal that will generate I would hope a 10 to 20 percent ROI....
Certainly we are not go up significantly on this news...of course the fact that Y has to censor this board so much makes me wonder if something more is going on...
I have notice yahoo will not let me post links; the message just disappears.
Also, I think that the initial poster of the thread can delete the whole thread.
