no E in the PE ratio ?

    by boiler_room_bermuda Apr 16, 2015 2:22 PM

Hmmm well I guess that streak has been broken with them posting their best Q1 in history including a profit. Earnings came in at $4.4 million, or 7 cents a share, compared with a loss of $3.8 million last year.

This is just the beginning. Some of these short sellers have no idea what is coming and can't see beyond their own prejudices.

ANGI leadership is completely reinventing the company and building in an infrastructure that will be able to accelerate growth. At the same time they are getting more efficient with their ad dollars. I think some people assume that ANGI already had basic enterprise functionality and systems that one would expect from a company of their size. They DIDN'T. And they got to 3 million members anyway.

I've been saying it for months but from a value perspective this is a stock that can very well hit $15 - $20 in a year or so.

I hope they do ask but you'll probably find out that it had a net impact of nearly NOTHING. Yes I'm sure some people cancelled and most of those people would have failed to renew anyway - they just didn't renew early. But there are also LOTS of people that have praised the company's stance and JOINED because of it.

Do I think CEOs of public companies should meddle in politics? NO. But I think many people would be surprised and how non-impactful it really is to the business despite the media coverage.

  • Surprise what???? 7cent profit per share, a 13 cent swing from a year ago. woot woot :)

Who cares. the EPS is improving every quarter no matter how you slice it. Sorry shorty. We are going for a ride tomorrow...

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • During tomorrow's conference call, will analysts ask about cancelled subscriptions? Tons of cancellations caused by CEO meddling in politics would lower next quarters EPS currently estimated at MINUS 19 cents.

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

Ladenburg estimates that the significant number of new warrants issued by Local as part of a recent fundraising effort brings its fully diluted share count to about 40M, nearly doubling the prior share count. The firm cut its price target on the stock to $2 from $4 to account for the new share count, but maintains a Buy rating, as it believes that renewed growth will come for Local in the second half of the year.

Looking backwards at a 1 year charts has no bearing on the future potential. FYI the CEO "I have decided to step down as chief executive officer to pursue other interests, including becoming more civically involved in the State of Indiana."
The upturn in the stock price could be related to Oesterle's departure or to Angie's hiking its estimate of its 2015 cash flow by $2 million, to a range of $30 million to $32 million.

Since there has never been a profit in what, 20 years, and with no prospect of one on the horizon, this stock is way overpriced at $5.60. Why would anybody but day traders buy this at all?
