If you're expecting a good earnings report, I'm afraid you're about to be sadly very disappointed. In the case of MCD, I believe the negativity is well deserved.
I can't believe this is happening, there is a new research report just released on MCD that I'm very anxious about. Everest Market Research [search them on Google] just released this today! This research group has a huge influence on the market, I've seen them move stocks 500 - 1500% in ONE DAY and also influence the market down as well. You guys get the report? Curious to hear your thoughts, not sure if I should
I'll add McD in the 90or less range. With higher interest rates coming, wage strikers pounding the FF market, and problems with the beef and chicken, I'll wait for the next drop. Overall a very solid company with great management but overpriced right now imo.
The bad news is that MCD can't compete! And the stock price will continue to falter until they get their act together. I eat at various fast food restaurants about 4-6 times per month, and rank MCD close to the bottom of my preference list. I'll generally drive 5 miles to the closest Burger King instead of a mere 2 miles to the nearest MCD unit. The food at Burger King is better and no mnore expensive than MCD.
You guys have to see the tests done on the fries. YouTube it or try it for yourself. Next time you go to Mcd buy the fries and see how long it takes to mold. It doesn't. This is what we put in our kids stomachs. Scary stuff.
What are the policy positions Of McDonalds and competitors on the issue of guide dogs in the restaurant?
Sounds like you have a thing for MickeyD.
Why so dramatic?
Aside from McDonald's forever ignoring its customers' desires to eat "breakfast" items throughout the day and night, and aside from MCD's ongoing ignorances of numerous other "minor" issues, there is a vital issue which MCD has tended to ignore which has much greater, significant influence. As proven by its current figures, MCD is paying a price for its ignorance and violations of people's civil rights - as employees, and as customers, amongst other things. A perfect example is that of when a disabled man brought his service dog inside a MCD restaurant with him. Quite obviously, this action had caught the eyes of many employees on the clock. The disabled guy did not even face a question about his service dog, as he ventured to the bathroom to wash his hands. Not a question had risen, as this disabled guy waited in line, deciding what it was that he wanted, either. When the time came, this disabled man's order had been peacefully taken, followed by money getting exchanged, and all. Oddly, the typical question of "Is this for here, or to go?" had not even been asked, as the staff served this disabled customer his order in a bag - to go. But once this disabled customer turned towards the seating area, to sit down and enjoy his order, the all-along observing manager stepped up and told this disabled person that dogs were not permitted inside that MCD restaurant. In other words, now that money had been raised, the man with the dog had to leave?
Two issues arise, here. One issue is that this means MCD is permitting untrained, "regular" pet dogs inside, even if such dogs have no actual purpose - but only long enough to pay the money, and then get out. The second issue is that discrimination arises. Either way, this would demonstrate significantly poor customer relationships. Likewise, it demonstrates MCD to have significantly poor training for its employees, too. MCD's even went on, arguing that the staff did nothing wrong!
It's a great buy here. Entirely different equity than at $103. Seems to have found support. I like long call options on MCD being that they are very cheap. Plus MCD has always been a sure thing in a down market.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
@skinz4q, you are 100% correct. it is life. Our enemies always want to destroy us no matter what. It is tough to be top dog. It is even tougher to remain as top dog. American are not patriotic anymore. American are divided and lack of collaboration. American are now more selfish than ever. There is no sense of patriotism. There are more people live in America but love America not. I have seen many of them, having houses in America, making good life in America. Yet still want to doom America. Our system handed out free stuffs and taught people no respect. It is a paradox that our politicians "import" alien to create political alliances. If politic in America depends on that tactic, there will be thugs and criminals get into this country and play powerful role.
The result is McD and many American companies alike will be destroyed by foreigners. Because America is weaken. The wolves will come and tear her up. China and Russia are doing the job to bring down America. It is sad. Really sad. Not long ago China begged America come to do business in their country. Russia did the same. But now, when they see a weak administration and a country full of aliens. They knew it is the best chance they have to bring America to her knees.
I am not surprised McD suddenly being attacked by those two countries and many others around the world. We are no world leader anymore. I wondered what make America so weak. Let's see, if there is actually other country can replace America. It is just a matter of time. JMHO.
In the last 12 months I see a closing low of $93.27 followed by a retest a couple of months later at $93.02. That has set the support line imo.
MCD is learning about the risks of doing business in Russia, China and other countries that are fundamentally unfriendly toward the U.S. They hate us, but they love our money. They love our money so much that they, and their friends in North Korea, print tons of it every year.
