Couldn't agree more. Went to MCD drive thru today and the employee barely spoke English. I cancelled 80- percent of my order, picked up a coffee and left.
In my opinion, McDonalds needs to bring back the Angus one-third pound burgers, because they were the best tasting burgers they had offered. (The current 1/3 pound burgers are ok, but not great like the original angus. I think this is a short term promo. ) None of the burgers on McDonalds menu today tastes good, The beef tastes like it was washed in water before cooking. No good beef flavor!
I'll go to Burger King or Wendy's when I crave for a hamburger!

Then MCD can hire some people (retirees?) who are intelligent, hard-working and reliable....and clean! Another blow to the low-wage crowd that wants more $$$ for nothing.
My friend knows an operator who has 14 franchisees in North Florida. They barely make what they made with 3 years ago and have several times the problems. They want out badly.
And now this, from Barron's 051115 page 29:
"By streamlining and pushing more cororate costs onto franchisees. McDonald's expects to cut $300 million in yearly overhead."
But do the honchos in Oak Brook HQ really believe the franchisees can take much more? Why don't the honchos in Oak Brook cut their personal French chefs, their limos, their helicopters, their art galleries, their gardens, gyms, polo fields, Lake Fred sailing, etc. etc.? Oak Brook HQ is a palace that should go!

the 21st century MCD! One of the healthier meals that can be bought at a fastfood drive-thru and of course helps amplify smoothie/coffee sales! Bout time.
I realize the logistics had to be in place before such an endeavor but the question I have to ask is, WHAT TOOK SO LONG?
Others will follow...some are already there............but simply put, there is NO Distribution network like MCD that can exploit breakfast! You see folks BOOMERS have graduated away from alot of traditional fast food itmes BUT BREAKFAST, isn;t one of them. In fact, BOOMERS are eating breakfast today like they never have before! Maybe it's an age thing, I don't know!
Smartest move in fast Food since the WEN floating innovative menu which continues to crush and take market share from all with constant specialty turn-over!
As sales fall the employees have nothing else to do. When employees are holding Monopoly tournaments you better be out of McDonald's stock.
