I've made bank in ARO and not by waiting on sidelines. There have been countless opportunities to parlay a little risk into a big payout.
Hmm, they already forecast a low forecast, so yes - you are correct. It is a disaster.
Obviously, the key is how bad the rest of the year swings. I'd sit on the sidelines until late Jun / early Jul and then take a position.
They are turning this thing around. I bought from them online a few weeks ago and they are doing everything possible to get rid of ALL of their old inventory. All week it was 50% off. Then yesterday it went to 70% on the old blah inventory. And the new pieces are more attractive and the material is better quality. Just a matter of time.
they cannot spin their way out of the next earning result. they'll talk a lot about future plans, etc… but analysts will see it for what it is… the brand is dead.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
good for them...i think this company will turn and make not cents but over a buck...their brand is great..go to the stores...its just a waiting game...14 to 18 would be fair when it turns..
"We think it is unlikely Aéropostale can earn a profit again," Morgan Stanley analyst Kimberly Greenberger wrote in a note to investors on Thursday.
Huh? If you are listening to the TAG target, ARO would be a hold and not a sell (technically).
Regardless, it's hard to forecast a stock price with only a sliver of 2015 guidance and negative earnings.
lol, good with trading stocks that way. How do you make any money by trading stocks without trying to create a future forecast?
Yeah, it was a relatively simple play as the weather has been horrible. Spring merchandise comes in Jan / Feb and cold weather kills sales from that product. And btw, breaking even only in Q4 is a death-knoll to retailers. If you can't make money in Q4, you are in some serious trouble.
(I'd rather be right with ARO's lousy numbers that a ticker symbol error on a message board. Forest through the trees.)
