Invent a Green Widget. It should appear capable of saving our small blue planet.
Spend some money on a fancy website.
Use lots of techno language that most folks wont understand. Be sure to include phrases like - disruptive technology, paradigm shift etc.
Include some nice artists impressions.
Claim that prototypes have been built and tested and the results are terrific.
The widget is now ready to be commercialised.
At this point it is wise to bring in an angel investor.
This will give you enough money to build more elaborate mock-ups of a working widget.
Hang lots of wires and test meters all over the widget to make it look as though it is undergoing some serious testing.
It is now time for some press releases.
The media will be pleased to accept your claims without question and the releases will be spread all over the web free of charge. Many publications will give you a positive review because it sounds really nice and might save our small blue planet.
(you can never have too much of the "small blue planet" stuff)
They fooled me because they are so bold in their statements. You wouldn't think anyone has the nuts to lie as big as this. I guess that's a big part of why it's worked for so long. imo

I don't agree your statement of "failure to deliver". OPTT always delivers, but delivers failure.

They do also consistently deliver a BIG FAT PAY-CHEQUE to the executive piggies.
Lol, they have a working demo and have had numerous working demos over the years. They are about to deploy a working fully functional buoy of the coast of New Jersey.
