one of rupert's UK rags just started charging approx $120/yr for their web site of trashy news. didn't make much sense for The (london) Times. is he out of his mind for the sun #$%$? why doesn't he just shut down the web site, who in their right mind would pay this silly sub?
The bigwigs; namely, Deutch Bank, JPMorgan, to name a couple had upgraded NWSA, the new News Corp to outperform last week.. No debt and strong cash flow and the price in the teens is very much undervalued. Target price between the mid-$30's and high $40's....a gold mine for a long-time hold for stock appreciation with its dividend payout. Besides, it will replace APOL at the S&P 500......hence its quick ascent when it opened in the $14.00 range after the spin off. I added to my existing position when I saw the price on my radar screen without even knowing why the price dropped from the mid-$30's. I should have added more but can't be too greedy.
its NWS and NWSA. the difference is NWSA are non voting shares. there usually is a premium paid for the voting shares(NWS) but that doesn't seem to be the case here. but most still buy NWSA. kind of odd to me, maybe someone else can shed some light on that part of it.
