They need some new contracts or price will drift LOWER. I'm hoping they have some soon & thinking that's why they did the RS..
If the company is worth it's mettle and the product is as true blue as the hype??? Wall street loves a Cinderella or will we soon see a pumpkin??
when a stock uplists old shares are exchanged for new shares and the new symbol is given. In the interim and until this is completed a temporary symbol with a D as the last letter is given so as to notify the public andso that shares can be continued to be traded. You bought SBOTF at the current post reverse split price. Your shares will be issued a new symbol when activated. In the meanwhile you can accumulate or trade using this symbol.
Anybody with half a brain knows this is a HIGH spec bio play. It's great they TRY to uplist. Hopefully some contracts will follow.
The 1 for 10 reverse split for SBOTF should post up today or tomorrow is meaningless. This does not add one dime to the top line not one penny to the bottom. It is simply a maneuver to get the price over that magic $5.00 level required for consideration to up list onto the NASDAQ from the pinks. And be sure to note this: There in no guarantee that the up listing request will be granted. There are additional criteria to be met and approved by FINRA. Bu assuming these are met and FINRA does allow the changeover, another caveat must be considered. Most all the wild-eyed and dreamy people who have ridden this thing for the last 3 years are convinced that this heightend exposure, the ability for analysts to follow and institutions to buy, will be a net positive. Best consider that it could, in reality, be a disaster. What if the analysts don't like what they see, issue sell recommendations, institutions stay away in droves? What then? The price tanks below that 52-week low by wide margin because these last-ditch hopes are finally dashed on the rcky shores of reality. SBOTF is working in desperate mode now. I love the idea, the processes for land-based farming they have created and patented, the conservation of in-the-wild GKL's out there. But as a business? So far, it barely continues to exist, and if the Taiwanese billionaire biotech mogul Samuel Yin (Amaran Biotech) ever exits (taking his understudy that he had appointed to the board after he made the "Angel" investment back in early 2014, Dr. Tessie Chi, off the board with him), then Stellar is a Chapter 11 candidate for sure. Same goes for the huge investment in SBOTF currently held by Mexican Billionaire Ernesto Echavarria. Echavarria is the largest private shareholder in the company with some 18,000,000 shares or thereabouts (don't pin me to that number
- can't be verified). Since he isn't a corporate official of any sort he does have to disclose anything he does. If he were to sell out it's bye-bye Limpetland
I think Yahoo has made a mistake. Scottrade in my account shows it closing at .80 and I check after hours bid and asked and price is no better.
Agree w/investosaurus: reverse splits rarely are positive for stock price. Usually just allows more room for a drop, and is quite often a desperation measure to attract buyers of a higher caliber (than dreamers). This company still has no revenue to speak of so just because they split does not make the company more profitable. And I don't see how they fulfill the other requirements for listing anyway. Beware.
Well, the KLH patent, 2 years ago, i new one day, they would be listed. If this was a better market, i would buy 200,000 shares. but i see plenty of stocks go high , even IPOs or listings, in a bad market, so i will start will 10,000 .
Sentiment: Strong Buy
NASDAQ listing or no NASDAQ listing, it baffles me why would anyone buy ahead of a reverse stock split?? Historically, equities usually take a dive after a reverse stock split but the sentiment here seems to be contrarian in that people expect a spike afterwards! I am puzzled by that so I will stay on the sidelines for now...
Yes, but each new share will be worth 10X the value of the old shares, so in the end, your total value should be about the same (a problem comes when your share count is not evenly divisible by 10). Being NASDAQ listed and with a share value above $5 should improve the acceptability of these shares.
Announced today that, subject to regulatory approval, the Company will proceed with a consolidation of its issued and outstanding common shares (the "Shares") on the basis of one (1) post-consolidated common Share for every ten (10) pre-consolidated Shares (the "Reverse Split").
