seems unlikely to be xUS buyer with current and rising high dollar.the exception might be foreign buyer with holding already in dollars that could unload those holdings to pick up beat down US stock.
a few years back I remember when JOY jumped through mid $60's when buyout rumors were hitting the tape. some analyst were saying JOY was undervalued back then. right now its a bargain in my opinion unless there is something else behind the scenes causing the extreme sell off. my opinion
Certainly would be a roll of the dice but if you consider the cyclical nature of this stock it might be a good business play in a down oil market. Look at where the stock was in 2011. IMHO a foreign buyer would make sense; in particular if they take this company private. Significant savings in corporate overhead might be possible with a management change of venue? Chinese buyer?
equipment. LOL Wake up people a second depression is now under way. Even 20 cent a gallon gas won't change this out come.

Or possibly Sandvik...but Sandvik much smaller than Atlas. This is not the first time Atlas has been mentioned with regards to Joy. Does anyone have any thoughts as to the price it might take to successfully acquire Joy? I'm thinking it may take an 8 in front of it.
