Out of O'Hare in Chicago. Got to the terminal and I thought I was at a Greyhound bus terminal. Flight was pleasant and went by quickly (2 hours to Atlanta). The head flight attendant was entertaining. Flight was satisfactory. Ordered an alcoholic beverage that was supposed to be on sale at $3, that's what the gal yelled out while pushing the cart. Looked at my card statement online and the charge was $8........ooops. Sat next to an older guy and he was dissatisfied with the airline. I asked him how many times he flew with Spirit and he said it was his first flight. I told him that it was too small of a sample to draw conclusions. He thought about what I said and agreed with me. I said to myself that my first flight would leave me with either a good or bad impression and whether I would fly with them again. I suppose I will probably fly with them again. I think that Spirit needs to re-do their website, a little bit annoying and confusing IMO.
Spirit is the pitz. Only cost conscience teens would put up with their service and flights. Now they are getting competition from UAL & AA. Looks like a head on collision is coming.
Beat on Revs and Profit, but stock down 4%. Why?
After the initial, very short pop, SAVE is now down $2.00 (over 4%)
I guess the revenue per seat - mile ratio which dropped must be the problem.
This stock does not seem ready to head to $60, more like $40
I'm long a few hundred shares, maybe will buy more if it gets down to the 40 range.
You get what you pay for, for me, I'm glad I bought this stock last Thanksgiving at around $36. It's a GREAT airline, and only getting better.
Spirit Airlines, Inc. is worst Airlines. Beware to pay exuberant fee when you check in . I will never fly Sprint from BWI to ATL. customer service very poor
I don't see that at all and I've been with these guys over 4 years. Frontier is still solidly the best bet. Maybe 1 year from now. All the old owners are now there. Baldanza worked with Fornier at AirTran. Just looks to good a fit.
