  • what they are feeding us or use solar and wind exclusively so if you have no power you have no power what gives you the right to protest something your using. In a liberal minded world its ok to be a hypocrite.

    Obama the Great Divider

    by bill_billingsly Mar 12, 2015 8:03 AM

The Obama administration set the bar high. In his first inaugural address, Obama said that "those of us who manage the public's dollars" will "do our business in the light of day, because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government."

    Operation Fast and Furious?

As a result of a dispute over the release of Justice Department documents related to the scandal, Attorney General Eric Holder became the first sitting member of the Cabinet of the United States to be held in contempt of Congress on June 28, 2012. Earlier that month, President Barack Obama had invoked executive privilege for the first time in his presidency

  • The funny thing about posting something that requires accountability is none of the liberal greenies respond I posted this 42 minutes ago and nothing , yet If I were to say how coal is a good source of heat and its cheaper they would spew how solar is so wonderful and taking over the world yet they cant deny they are still relying on the very thing they want to destroy, sad , very sad

  • This message board looks like useless now since it controls by one or two person who keeps posting the same thing over and over again. this type of people have nothing else to do beside sucking my toes for my tax money to live days by days until they die.

True Cost of Wind Power & Solar

    by invest55 Apr 14, 2015 7:02 PM

Last word I got, the average life of US citizens has increased over the last 100 years, that sure blows a hole in your reduced life expectancy theory. You may want to do a little research before you post lover22.

  • Enron talked the fruit politicians into deregulating the electrical business and had rolling blackouts from north to south, that's one reason they hate coal, the state lost about thirty billion through their arrogant ignorance, one trader said they are the dumbest bunch of politicians in the whole world, now they're going solar and windmills of their mind to be self sufficient, good look fruits you'll need it... as for Peabody ...long- long- long and Bloomberg and the sierra club be dam**d......

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • The only jobs he created is in the department of welfare. If kids want to spend thousands of dollars getting a liberal arts degree or screw around in high school they deserve to flip burgers or scrub toilets for a living..My taxes should not be used to help slackers and freeloaders.

  • The reason why coal plants can last longer than nuclear plants is the safety requirement on the reactor means that after 30 or so years, a nuke plant is forced to replace the steam generators or the reactor vessel. Coal fired plants can do incremental repairs when needed. Replacing a boiler is considerably cheaper than a nuke steam generator.

The fact the average age of coal plants in the USA (if that is true), is actually a testimonial to their success. After 42 years of operation, the building costs and repair costs have been paid off a long time ago. Since there are a few new coal plants that means there has to be some very old coal plants to make the average, that's further evidence of success.

Another aspect. Coal plants are undergoing replacing steam turbines. There are actual YouTube video's you can watch. New turbines run 25% more efficient which runs far more economical. When they replace the turbines with the new design, they can pay for them within 2 years of operations. That's an example of modular replacement where it makes economical sense. Not only is it good for the utility, its also good for the rate payers.

Other modifications you can do to an existing coal plant includes installing scrubbers and air particulate filters.

    "Black Lung" ACI-holders

Hop Sing Loser George, Get back in the kitchen and start lunch. Chop Chop.

  • Its tough being on the wrong side of the trade. Coal is not dead, some short sellers will be soon as they jump off tall buildings and sound like some of Cramer's sound effects.

  • Mountains of dead batteries in Junk Yards near population centers going to have some real sensational impact.

As the number of batteries increase for solar storage, those mountains of dead batteries are going to explode upwards in scale like nobody imagined. Guess what your disposal fee is going to be in the future? About the same cost as the solar installation.

You think the EPA is going to sit by and allow mountains of dead batteries to pile up?

One big mountain of batteries catching on fire and burning going really upset the tree huggers.

    Just saying.

  • when power goes up 20% because of their solar garbage. this will be just like Obamacare when its all said and done we will have nothing more for insurance but pay double for it,,, GREAT PLAN

  • As consumers, we pay for electricity twice: once through our monthly electricity bill and a second time through taxes that finance massive subsidies for inefficient wind and other energy producers.

Most cost estimates for wind power disregard the heavy burden of these subsidies on U.S. taxpayers. But if Americans realized the full cost of generating energy from wind power, they would be less willing to foot the bill—because it’s more than most people think.

Over the past 35 years, wind energy—which supplies just 2 percent of U.S. electricity—has received $30 billion in federal subsidies and grants. These subsidies shield people from the uncomfortable truth of just how much wind power actually costs and transfer money from average taxpayers to wealthy wind farm owners, many of which are units of foreign companies.

  • "If you were to charge a car in 12 minutes for a range of 500 km (310 miles), for example, you're probably using up electricity required to power 1,000 houses," Tanaka told a small group of reporters at the first test-drive event for the production version of the Mirai, the world's only mass-market fuel-cell car.

"That totally goes against the need to stabilise electricity use on the grid."

POVERTY is bad for our health too , and that is something you nitwit greenies never seem to understand , and #$%$ "solutions" to everything are always -"well it's gonna cost more and more of a hassle" ..... I just bought a "High Efficiency" "Water Saving" Washing Machine ...... Cost $800 and the dumbest thing you've ever seen ..... It's nuts , and I'd love to hear the science behind "clothes get washed when they are NEVER actually agitating IN and UNDER Water" .... Half the clothes are just floating and turning above the water , they NEVER actually go IN the water !!!!!!!!!! They are just damp clothes going in circles on a Merry-go-round above the water ..... I'm all ears .......
