LOL, sure they are, that's why it keeps going up. They are buying everyday. 20M to spend, how much you losing on your short? Follow the trend, you can't beat 20M
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Oct. 06, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Metabolix, Inc. (MBLX), an advanced biomaterials company focused on sustainable solutions for the plastics industry, today announced that it will present its latest findings on the multifunctional benefits of bio-based PHA copolymers in a range of applications for polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and wood polymer composites. The new findings will be a key part of a technical presentation, entitled “Bio-based PHA Copolymers as Multifunctional Additives for Poly Vinyl Chloride Compound,” to be delivered by Mansoor Akhthar, Metabolix application development manager - PVC, at the upcoming Vinyltec 2015 conference Oct.13-15 in Akron, Ohio.
New research is leading to the development and commercialization of PHA biopolymer technology that improves processing and performance characteristics in a range of PVC applications including flexible, semi-rigid and wood polymer composites, particularly when high levels of fillers and PVC recyclate are incorporated. Among the findings, Metabolix has shown that its PHA biopolymers – highly miscible in PVC – can be used as process aids that act as both a lubricant and fusion aid with a resulting reduction in machine torque to increase ease of processing. The use of PHA also allows the increased use of mineral fillers, wood flour or PVC recyclate with improved properties of the final parts. Another key finding is that all of these performance and processing advantages can deliver significant cost improvements.
“Our PHA biopolymers display a set of unique performance properties in PVC formulations and represent a significant innovation in the industry,” said Max Senechal, Metabolix’s vice president of strategy and commercial development. “Our PHA biopolymers offer a range of processing and performance improvements while also delivering an economic benefit to PVC converters and brand owners. We look forward to continuing to work with the industry to create new solutions for PVC applications in a diverse range of building materials.”
I know that I have a long way to go in order to recover my basis in this stock.
I am not complaining, my investment in MBLX equals the sum total of all my risk capital that I have that I could lose it all tomorrow and still sleep at night. And at one time in the not too distant past, it came close.
A reminder to all that anyone investing in a publicly traded stock selling under $10.00 a share with little or no revenue streams or with huge NOL'S that Uncle Sugar will unlikely see any tax revenues from in the foreseeable future, is a pure speculative play, equivalent to one going to your friendly neighborhood casino
expecting to "beat the house" The odds ALWAYS FAVOR THE HOUSE, NO MATTER WHAT THE GAME.
Remember only invest in these type of securities the sum total that you can lose in its entirety, and not have it f hurt you and or the ones you love financially. . Then:
As written by, country music recording artist Mary Chapin Carpenter said in one of her songs, I take my chances, I pay my dollar, and I place my bet.
Good luck to all, including Mr. Scully.
Aspire can purchase 50K shares at $2.32 Not a bad price considering where we're at now. I wonder how many shorts covered these last few days. I'm guessing about 200K, which leaves about 600K left. 20 Million is a HUGE number, I'm impressed management pulled this off. I bet Scully is happy with his recent purchases of 234K. That's some decent coin, he must know something...
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Rumor has it that they are moving both facilities into one office, further cutting costs. It appears they're getting serious as its time now to start showing the shareholders and the investors that their sleeves are rolled up and they're in full swing... This could be a very exciting next 12 months.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
I think 2 different things are in play. 1) MBLX got access to $20M in cash at a reasonable cost. MBLX still needs a strong partner for a JV or a bought out plant but now they have a better position to negotiate whatever they do next if they move quickly. In any event the low cash reserves was a major issue and if the stock heads north of $4 the group that did the previous $15M is likely to excercise an additional $15M they have in rights. As such the $20M financing may end up being a total of $35M quickly. 2) in the last quarterly call MBLX was strangely revealing in new clients and a prospect in final selection. This PVC presentation might be an opportunity to disclose more on new clients in the space.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
The presentation could attract more buyers, but I doubt we see that much volume. Still I do expect to see more short covering, 20 million is just a huge number to contend with and I'm sue they already started some buying. They know the shorts need to cover so they don't want to see this stock hit 10 without having at least a few million shares
I'm guess about 200K covered already. Probably a little bit each day so they don't drive the stock sky high. 20M worth of purchasing for a company this size is massive. What did Aspire see in MBLX that motivated them to buy 20 million worth of stock? I'm sure they did some serious research. Good luck to all longs and see you at 5 soon
Presentation can lift and blast this off to $6 levels.
All orchestrated for what lies ahead and about positioning
