FMR released the 6/30/14 position for CMG and there was a REDUCTION in position of 1.3 Million shares.
They missed the big pop but they must believe it is turning.
That is a substantial reduction in position.
I think you are correct. We'll get another short squeeze closer to earnings. But I think closer to 720 then 725. I've learned somethings being short CMG and AMZN, smartened up and have stayed on the sidelines thru this massive run. I still remember the 17 straight up weeks a few years ago. Nothing is impossible in the land of Oz.
I've been using that knowledge you bestowed on me to play AAPL, working like a charm. Thanks again. - PJ
And their landlords can raise lease rates 3X
Be careful what you wish for - especially when cmg doesnt own the land it conducts business upon
No, I got your back on that one, I agree that a 700$ burrito is a little high right now, I am scared of Murphy, but I will concede anyway that I went short yesterday, I was going to wait until after the fifteenth or so, but I got an itchy trigger finger. I just can't see any upgrades until we get closer to earnings again in Oct. I will stay short until the third week in Sept or so. I can feel a gap filling, pull back coming on, plus all this Putin nonsense is happening along with the middle east, If I lose then Murphy was listening. I think Crammer is correct though in the long term, this stock is going to $1000 if there are still burrito eating freaks out there, but I would wait for at least a fifty dollar pull back and then I am going to back up the truck.
you may not agree with me, but you do remember lambert story, so you also understand Jimmy maybe just as wrong as any of us. The push of CMG at 200 I do not question but at 680 I do!!!
yet they give away too much food at low prices, and I trust WEN chicken (grilled) over CMG, which half the time i have to spit out the fat they grind into the meal
Food with Integrity my #$%$
Filth with Immigrants
Teenagers in line not knowing that $8 per burrito comes out to $40 per pound for chicken
beans and rice don't count for nothing substantial
if you think this company is just another restuant then yes its not unique. Bit uts obviously not just another resturant look at its sales, pricing capacity and earnings vs any other restuarant and its narrow thinking like its a restuarnt goes afoul
Sears was freshly run at the time by Lambert and everybody thought at the time that he would be the next Buffet. He said only four shares. He didn't say to back up the truck. Plus he has been pushing this burrito monster from the beginning of burrito mania and people have made a fortune on it. So what is your boggle?
"everybody should have at least 4 shares of S (sears) price was $ 145 I think I still have them.... what a clown this guy is. Now pushing burrito and people bite. We are reaching TOP ! sell sell sell.
I am trying to calibrate the crystal ball here :)
more like 720-725 based on the my July 9 post assuming 29x as the top of the range and then some murder
Not sure that the folks trading CMG care about, or even understand, traditional valuation methodologies. Using very generous growth and discount rate assumptions, CMG should be trading at less than half of today's price.
