There products price matches the company's evaluation . At this point if your a buyer here your a crazier then somebody who would spend that much for a mattress . No value here at all . I'm calling market preform to under preform over the next year
Love my tempur pedic rhapsody bed ... There's no competition for this company and this quality bed! try talking yourself into a cheaper bed and you will end up with a p.o.s. Bed that you wished you didn't pay what you paid for it. And, you still will be back, and buying the tempur-pedic. i would have to guess that tpx has solid pricing power due to their advancements in memory foam technology. They just know how to blend the foam to get the perfect outcome in support and comfort. And, what's that worth to someone who has health or orthopedic issues? It's worth alot more than what they are pricing their beds for. These are high end home-based medical devices.that diserve a p/e multiple of 45 to 55 i
Will be easy.
The three outcasts will plead -- ".... oh we know so much about the company, keep us in the board room until next year when you can search for a suitable replacement..."
Apparently these must be very bad people. Why else would the shareholders not vote them into another term.
And the shareprice went up today after the announcement.
In a filing, apparently a large shareholder is calling for the CEO of TPX to step down, and he wants to replace the board as well, to "create shareholder value" and improve sales. First of all, I don't think just because you change a CEO means more people will come in and buy mattresses, in a very leveraged, highly competitive industry. Secondly, I just wish these activists would shut up and let management run the company....If they don't like how it's run, then they can sell their shares. Their negative public statements are very disruptive, in my opinion.
Speculation: Tempur acquires a major retail chain - Mattress Firm (public) or Sleepys. Would this work and would it improve Cash Flow and be accretive to earnings? What synergy would occur and how would Tempur manage a retail presence because due to the MAP pricing all prodcut must have the same initial gross margin assuming the same wholesale invoice to the retailer.
They cut next years full outlook to $2.70. Analysts were looking for $2.85. So that's a pretty big miss. This stock should continue to decline since the market right now is way over bought. My guess is we hit $47-48.
Raised revenue, but no earnings increase due to acquisitions. Looks like profit taking today after nice growth this year. Looks like a nice area to buy today (51-53 area)
Blew this out today... round 7 at last count since 2009. Special thanks to those shorting this to below $48 this year so we had the chance to reload a nice sleeve... we really appreciate you guys and that self impale work you do for the benefit of those opposite lame trades.. LOL
America! The new colossus, you should love it of live...
"A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame..."
Sentiment: Strong Sell
CONN's furniture and mattress sales were up 75% yoy... gee, one of their keys lines is TPX...
Reminds me of the "So Wait..." thread. LOL
Where did all the guys yelling this was a great short to $20 go? Did they go out west with Holden's ducks for the winter, never to be seen again? LOL
How are you putzes trying to dis me for saying it was a screaming buy at $37 while yelling this was going to $20 doing these days? If you hurry, you can still cover below $60. LOL
TPX really changed my financial situation, made roughly $220k the past few months, been getting my stock alerts from underground stock alerts (google em). Hope you guys have been doing as well with trading as I have.
