IFMI going in right direction, albeit slowly. Good quarter. Keep cutting costs gents and let the efforts of the most productive employees and management hit the bottom line
nyforty…there is nothing in this companies recent history that would indicate an intention to distribute money to the stuckholders.
The only money that will be spread around will be via salaries & sock options.
Good pt. One could argue they should continue shrinking the company down to a much smaller core of productive employees and then harvest value of the NOL by shielding actual profits (from asset mgmt and the productive folks). At that point, the shares would trade closer to book (.8 to .85 x perhaps) and they could return substantial excess capital to shareholders
volume good again, supply being absorbed. would be nice if it pointed to some more good news. last thing that i liked a lot was the sale of star asia for $20mm (close to book when shares trade close to .6 x), and we still have the large nol.
Lots of shares bought today…Was the you eth buying in for more of those two cent divies?
Just look at the last 2-3 years of price & volume history…business as usual….volume & price action are neither predicable or explainable on AFN/Cohen/IFMI…one thing is for sure, we are not going to see any earnings pass through the income statement. Danny Boy has taught his successors well!
most of the time, IFMI trades by appointment. Anyone have a view on the pick up in volume recently during period of poor sentiment and volume in small cap in general ? my own view is shares are dirt cheap near $2 so that is perhaps clearing price for folks that need to get out or can't wait any longer. but curious if anyone can add insight here
I keep telling you…Until insiders, friends, relatives, blind trusts, etc, hold 100% of the outstanding shares this stock is going nowhere! Once we are all gone, they will suddenly find their mojo and boom the stock will triple…Which isn't that great either, but when you're buying in the low twos or less it's not too shabby...
Continued dumping at bid sometimes 100 shares sometimes thousands. It goes up for awhile and then gets slammed at the bid. When is our new management team going to stop the slide? It's now 20 cents split adjusted.
so far all my reasons to buy have gotten me exactly no where. .good grief. reasons ... like new mgmt, i think shares are cheap at about .6 x book and in addition there is a very large NOL they can use to create value for shareholders. most likely we need them to stem the losses which it looks like they r doing and then unlock the value of the nol
