Lou, Yes, please add me to that board. Thanks. I did not realize you guys kept using that venue.

Sorry that I apparently mixed SKUL with the Snicker candy bars above.

Jyyus, let me know if you would be interested in joining our private board ANIKA at Investors Village.
I think you will remember some of the old names from the ANIK yahoo message board.
We discuss all stocks. A few still own ANIK.
If you are interested, I will admit your alias jyyus and you will be allowed to log in.
    Let me know...

Lou, Sorry to hear you pulled out from ANIK completely last year. But it was good for you (and me also), a 10+ year ride with handsome exit multiples. I would be even better off if I followed your egg company (CALM) back then.

I noticed you have been accumulating NOK. Having witnessed the demise of LU, NT, MOT, ALU, and EKA, pretty every telecom equipment behemoth, I did not want to wade into it. It seems Huawei is the only clear winner these days. Well, good luck with your conviction.

CUTR and SIEB are too illiquid to me, more like ANIK in the dark 08~09 days. SKUL is interesting, but their products do not seem to be up to the good standard-what one can call fine chocolate or chocolate candy.

I traded ZNGA a couple of times in small ways in the past 2 years, and made a few pocket bucks. It was wildly unpredictable. I like its liquidity. It might be a good time to get into it right now. In a year, it should have its day of some sort, as previously demonstrated.

    Jyyus
Good to see old familiar names .....
I sold off all my ANIKA last year.
    I haven't been following ANIKA closely....so unfortunately I wont
    be of much help.
I am now in NOKIA SKUL CUTR SIEB and easing into ZNGA after Feb 12 earnings disaster.
    Best to you!

  • Lou, wondering if you are still holding any ANIK, and what is your take on the near term picture. I am still flush with it, made a round trip in the tax advantaged accounts, but did not sell any of the long term holdings in the trading account last year. I know longer term is ok. But with the forward looking statement in last EA call, recent Cingal submitting PA and yesterday’s new director PA, I am a little uncomfortable, especially given the incessant 52-wk high makings in the general market and the bio sector (IBB etc.). The pre-EA PAs are just not characteristic of ANIK. Sherwood largely recalled his old buddies back last year. The MIT educated kid is a bit interesting. He had some VC and buy-out experiences. Not sure how to read the whole things. I would appreciate your view. The board is pretty quiet nowadays.

    SOLD @ 12.65

On the other hand the figures seem right in line with most everything else that can be purchased at the moment.
Price to sales of about 2. That's about right; maybe even cheap..................Price to book value of 1.6. That's downright cheap......Current ratio of 5.5 is excellent.......Gross margin of 56% is everything one could hope for....Q4 revenue (25.5M) beat estimates and indicates more sales growth in the future....

    SOLD @ 12.65

So CUTR isn't worth any more than $13? Thank you for the definitive value on CUTR.
I will sell Monday morning....why bother to hold if it is worth only $13?
CUTR is overbought and I expect a pull back...however I do expect a continued move higher
into 20s later in the year ... we shall see....

  • I posted the purchase of CUTR on the CYNO board a few months ago. CUTR isn't worth any more than $13 except maybe a buck or two more to an acquiring firm. M&A is possible, especially since Valiant was snubbed. CYNO might buy it so it isn't acquired or Valiant might buy it, though not a smart move for either. I rarely gamble on acquisitions. I'll take the cash. Good luck.

    Sentiment: Sell

  • Dan Plants of Voce is on the board - finally someone to get the company to either perform or sell out! Look up his track record.
