I understand the need to invest in and train a sales force, but by their own projections, they have only enough cash to last until end of 2015. They currently have $24 million in cash. That means that net cash burn is at least $1 million per month. In the 1st qtr, their sales were $600K. That means that sales will have to increase 5 fold just to get anywhere close to cash flow even. I sure hope they do it, but I suspect that if they are successful in generating some sales, they'll still have to go to the secondary market for some more cash as they try to bring more tests to market.
See July presentation on their website. They keep ramping up. It will be interesting to see the update in the change in major holders as of June 30th. I believe this information will be updated within the next 30 days.
Surf - I might be a bit more optimistic if ROSG were making some progress from a business management perspective. While many development stage biotechs have signed partnerships and generated some milestone payments, ROSG has not. In fact ROSG has had tests on the market for years now, hired a sales force, and still sales are less than $1 million per year. Look at their P&L and you'll see that cost of sales exceeds sales revenue, i.e. negative margins. Looking to the future is great, but at some point we have to see some signs of the big future payday.
Long term and approaching the rest of the cancers too I dont think here will be the need for that many histopathologists at all. Rosg has already made it a dying profession.
Buy out by a larger comp and run the entire spectrm of cancers, reduce COSTs Down to what a pathologsts takes (maybe ts about th same ??) and care the heck ou of the hositals. Then ROSG will be a Money maker and save 1000 nds of lives and lots of misery. Its a New deal.
It actually started more than a decade ago, and its the science of junk DNA.
Old science has been preoccupied With Protein coding genes whilst the supercommander is the DNA With regulatory functions. In cancer it has been obvious that inhibiting Growth promoting signal pathways isnt very effective and isnt durable. Well at Rosetta there is an almost febrile search for New patents claiming the right to own the science of the future. So butter yourself With patience, the findings and patents streaming into Our Company is nthing but hysterical. In such circumstances its easy nearly to forget the revolutionary importance of the kidney cancer test. The largest leap in cancer Diagnostics since the histology slide.
Hope your foreseeing is short of prophecy as prophets were always short by 1000 years to see their prophecy fulfilled ....LOL!
Whats interesting here is that they are talking not only about DETECTING cancer tests but about TREATMENT. This company is a small kind of unknown gem but it is a treasure trove. I gorsee not only a spike but a steady somehow jagged increase in the value of the stock to about $20 ps
Sentiment: Strong Buy
They can't afford higher revenue. Last year they had 400K in revenue and even though that was a 100% gain over the prior year, margins were NEGATIVE. Their tests have been approved and on the market for years and still haven't generated the sales of a typical McDonald's!
Let's see. 11 hours since your post and no responses. My assumption is that nobody cares anymore about this stock. With markets near all time highs, even a superspike won't make up for ROSG's dismal performance. If there is a spike, I suspect you'd be among the first take profits. Every other spike has been sold off; why should the next one be different?
Looks like this stock might spike north of 8-12 by Oct 1st. I am starting a position here are these levels. Anyone have logic thoughts about the news coming down the pipe? It has been awhile since this stock traded about 7pps and I think it is due for a superspike.
One day soon ROSG's tests will be the standard of care.
It will not take too many law suits to make it happen......
" You mean you removed the kidney when this test would have shown no need to operate?"

A blinded independent validation set of 200 samples was studied to measure the performance of the Rosetta Kidney Cancer Test. Of the 184 samples that produced a result, 174 were classified correctly demonstrating 95% accuracy or sensitivity, with 98% specificity.
"There are approximately 65,000 new cases of primary kidney tumors and 13,000 deaths per year in the United States, and the incidence is rising. Unfortunately, nearly 25% of patients who have a kidney removed for presumptive RCC, turn out to have benign oncocytomas, which are safely monitored without nephrectomy. This failure of pre-operative diagnosis is in part the result of the small number of pre-operative biopsies, as only about 9-10% of patients have a pre-operative biopsy. We believe there is an opportunity to improve the standard-of-care in this setting through the use of our assay," said Kenneth A. Berlin, President and Chief Executive Officer of Rosetta Genomics.

Today's news is driving the market cap higher. 4 cent gain is about $450,000 in market cap. Now if I had 10% of the shares, I might call this a good day. Since I don't, it isn't a good day. At least it isn't a really bad day.
There is no new 6k today. As per 6k July 14, ir requested 81m more shares, but they have not been issued yet. If they are to be issued, they would be 1.6m post split. I doubt ir will sell right after they get it lke they did before. They got most of their money back pre split. Now they want to go long to make more money. In the r/s new release, the company got the written consent of a major shareholder. If it is ir, I don't think they will sell. When there is no major seller, the price has only one way to go -- up. This time, you would wish you not on the short side. The total o/s would be 8.2m. The only issue remaining is the delisting. It would be delisted if sec found concret evidence of wrong doing. I would think they did everything by the book. By the looks of it, it was a well thought out plan to salvage the company in a cliff hanging situation.
And they can cure just about every other cancer in the body. No longer will you have to shop at the health food store for he rest of you life.
