Dummy...Sales mean nothing with low margins and a partner ....another loss coming and more cash burn .....Jones days are numbered....
And how many soda.s did you buy thinking you were helping with the numbers....you probably bought 6 cases ....Dipchittt....
Tick , tock
So what you are saying is that you do not know what their program is, but like a good little internet troll are reacting to one post on a social network.
Of course you are pulling unicorns out of your #$%$ again.
100 ambassadors working daily, getting minimum wage (not very likely) it would come to 10 an hr adding in the companies portion of retirement medicare and processing expenses.
100 people, 4 hrs a day 5 days a week times 10 an hour comes to 20,000 dollars a week before signage or sampling. The man power cost would come to 240,000 for the quarter. All an ambassador has to do is give out 30 dollars an hour in samples (60 bottle at wholesale) and you are coming up on a million dollars for the quarter.
Do you really think that is the best use of their cash at this point?
It is real easy to try and blow a unicorn out of your #$%$ if you do not have to worry about expenses.
Where should the money come from???
I know they should be a multi billion dollar company with millions to launch an extension of Mountain Dew, but they are not. If you whined this much in a real business you would be marginalized faster than you would know what hit you as no one wants to listen to a whiner while they are trying to execute withing the reality that they have too.
Interesting point. I would love to see a breakdown on sales by product. The HEB store I'm near has liquidated the Zilch soda in a firesale. I hope they are consolidating flavors.
The difference between you and I is, I have been to the stores and questioned the cashiers. Also with half the stores saying the stuff is moving is quite an accomplishment WITHOUT and marketing effort.
Please support your statement the JC said that there is?was marketing effort in place. JC has the stuff on many 1000s of store shelves. If the initual results are positive, then JC will market within JSDAs financial ability.
As the saying goes. "you pay your money and take your chances"
I am long and lovin it
and dont just argue. look at the sales trends in soda and for jones itself. they dont even have a product with a million in yearly sales. they hide all relevant sales data because it is so embarrassing. same store sales? ha. good luck. jen would rather die than tell you what the actual trends are. sales per product? ha.
imagine what the sales would be if supported by proper marketing, which was promised but has not materialized. so half the stores saying it isnt moving well IS NOT GOOD. a 50% failure rate out of the gate leads to continued declines as the product sits in many cases. in others, sales will build. if you had not noticed, 7-11 stores tend to be almost the same nationally. if half my stores are not reordering a product, know what i do? i look for a product with better uptake. i was happy with the product launching but i am not happy with the complete lack of follow through and apparent loss of momentum with all other efforts. i was hoping this would transformative. but i have no faith in that anymore. soda for children continues to be their theme and the brand is nostalgic, not forward. sorry. it doesnt have to be. Sobe and blue buffalo were innovative. there is nothing innovative about jones soda as it fights for tiny share in a declining category. real sugar? that was never a helpful selling point and now it is common.
i have no problem with a sampling program. the jones sampling program is to go to one store and sample. probably one a week or so. it isnt clear, but maybe not even that much. so that is not a sampling program, it is less than meaningless. if there were 100 ambassadors nationally sampling daily, that would be a sampling program.
Really hard to believe that a company would use this type of promotion?
Sobe used this as their primary marketing method for the 4 years that they existed before selling out to Pepsi for almost 400 million and then one of the founders returned to the well by setting up a nationwide network of people to give samples out at stores before they had enough money to do mass marketing advertising.Truly amateur hour, that second company, Blue Buffalo is only worth about 5 billion.Even with the money they now have for traditional advertising they still try and keep an army of part time product specialists to give out samples at stores.
Since you like to present yourself as a business genius while bad mouthing every thing a company you are down in does , whether it is positive or negative. Feel free to let the board know what genius idea you have for the company to promote it's product with it's current financial reality?
You have no idea #$%$ you are talking about. The ENTIRE Baltimore market is carrying the product and more than half of the stores say the product is moving very well. I have visited more than 20 stores.
and doing tastings and giveaways. holy #$%$! is it a bake sale? are you trying to raise awareness of the senior high class trip to disney? it is a national product. apparently jen didnt have an actual plan.. kind of like the roll out of lemoncocco the nonexistent drink available at a store in san francisco and someones desk at jones. i guess that would roll out next summer. i mean, let's give it a couple years. this is why the share price is deteriorating already. it is becoming clear that jen's promises are hollow. ugh.
Oh shoot - I said this before - its not old because I'll say it next year and the year after that and the year after that - I love it - whoops! lol lol lol omg omg lol omg lol
