When? I think you mean if. And its a big if. If you follow AD closely you know that the BIIB path to treatment has inherent flaws and does not attack the root cause of the disease. So the game is to run a successful trial and spin it enough so that is shows effectiveness and a strong safety profile. I say spin because at best it will end up as a finite replacement for Donezepil, which by the way would mean a lot of money to the company for a period of perhaps 1-2 years. At worst it fails phase III and gets thrown into the same garbage can as the 48 other treatments that failed. I currently lean towards the latter.
If your play is AD, I suggest looking at Anavex LS (AVXL). They are at least making a concerted effort to attack the disease from the core. If you are a BIIB fan, there fortunately are plenty of other possibilities outside of AD to grow the business.
