It's starting to look like Lazarus may be slowly rising from the dead. Let's hope that he stays alive and that this share price continues on a slow but continuous path upwards. Don't know if it reached its bottom recently but sure hope that it was the bottom and that we don't need to back there again.
It's time for KBR to start the walk up the stairs out of the basement. If they would rather run up the stairs it would certainly make me that much happier. Have a great day!
I am they have over a billion in cash if someone buys them the price will shoot up over night, but I think they with be a turn around story very soon booking some large contracts and looking very hard at over head and any business unit that is not profitable look for positive changes in near future.
This is a transition year, but the multi-year turn around should start in 2015 or 2016. This is a great time to accumulate. That billion in cash should provide some support. There is no near term risk of bankruptcy and there are only so many companies that build these complex projects, with undeniable global demand growth for LNG projects.
Yes, I follow the company, and there is simply too much uncertainty surrounding it. Seems there is ALWAYS some negative news developing - it may be a good opportunity as you state, but there are too many other opportunities much better than this dog.
KBR has just been awarded a major engineering design contract by Hyundai Heavy Industries Co . Ltd. for the Al Nasr Full Field Development Project located off shore Abu Dhabi. At a share price around $21 it just might be the time to load up. As their house gets cleaned up they are still in business picking up contracts and eventually should be up and running at a profitable pace. If it takes a year or a year and a half it could provide a fairly decent capital return.
Perhaps, but it seems that new issues revolve around this company every 3-6 months. Don't think I would want my investment here.
I saw two large 50,000 share or above buys during the day. Slow rise from here until earnings. I am in at 423.25 and believe we are going up from here as well.
don't hold your breath on the buy out.. those stories have been around ever since it spun off from Halliburton.. they have some new leadership just starting but it may take years to get this going again. last management team was just terrible.
This is not a pump post. Even read an article mentioning that KBR fits like glove for a buyout.
I also say that legal issues would need to be resolved. KBR has a bright future ahead of it. IMHO
They've hit a rough patch but this makes for a good entry point. I bought a couple days ago and looking to add more on weakness.
KBR might have some more downside but it also has upside potential and it's not necessarily going to take years to make that recovery, at least in my opinion. SNC-Lavalin Group ran into a problem of their own, not the same problem but a major problem which knocked the hell out of their share price, much more so than with KBR. SNC has recovered substantially and produced a very nice return to those that entered at the lower levels. I think that KBR has the same potential and it will take at least a year to show that they are bouncing back. The recent 5 year renewable contract with the Australian Defence Force may well be the rebounding signal.
