Orion management and Political dictatorships have the same operating procedure.
Their actions and judgment ruled by selfish greed, insecurity and arrogance. They ruin the lives of everyone under their control. The journey to the inevitable disaster is always unpleasant, strewn with the bodies of their scapegoats, carnage all around and suffering for all...lots of suffering. Except themselves of course.
The outcome is without exception... always the same.
sniperman, well said.
What is taking place at Orion is nothing new, it's all they know, or more appropriately don't know.
Management has proven to be immature and grossly inadequate at best. Their behavior is like that of spoiled self entitled, inexperienced children. Constantly changing and trying something else because they have no experience and no idea what to do.
The board obviously does not care what's happening at Orion as long as they get their six figure payday for no time investment and doing quite obviously, nothing. If the board did what they are quite handsomely paid to do we wouldn't be having this discussion.
Remember, don't listen to what they say...Observe what they do.
whatever Bills title was
Are you saying the Plant Manager or Director of Manufacturing was let go or are you just guessing?
I get it sustainabledev9000, but keeping silent doesn't accomplish anything either. The company is broken and it is fairly common knowledge in a small town like Manitowoc. There is a lot of crap going on inside that company besides the dollars and cents side and if enough speak up somebody is going to have to listen eventually. The leadership style of executive management will never allow the company to be successful and or reach it's potential. I think you and many others, both current and former employees, know this. The level of churn there is not normal and anyone paying attention (especially the BOD) should be looking under the covers as to why. It isn't as easy as bad hires, poor fits, lack of performance, etc. There are some of those people like any company, but good people are also being run out of the company and the rest who see the dysfunction eventually fire the company and the team leading it.
Plant manager??? He just got the door
I could make guesses all day long, that many people have lost their jobs under this leadership
Trust your instincts. If it was a waste of time you wouldn't have made the post to begin with.
Certainly there are good people at Orion... however there are many more good people who have made the error of investing in this company.
Look at it like this. Something must be done or all will be lost for the good people at Orion and the good people who regrettably own orion stock. Deleting your post served no one, in fact it did everyone a disservice.
You claim things there will not change. With that, a defeatist attitude, they will not, they will end in a dissolving of the company. You, all employees and investors (institutional and individual) must stand up against tyranny and fight for honesty, integrity and truth... something that unfortunately is sorely lacking at Orion.
Exposing dishonesty and corruption is the first step in facilitating change. Never ever back down from tyrants, increase the pressure again and again.
I deleted the post because there are many good people that still work at Orion and I felt bad, I am not a she, I am a he, and I also felt it was a waste of time to post about Orion or its leadership, things will not change there
It's true, but doubt if it was her who posted.
Could be. How do you know this information?
Why was she fired?
Why would she delete her post?
VP Sales Operations? Just a guess on if this is her or not but she was kicked to the curb the day before.
Who is she?
I think it is better stated as "The one that SHE initiated". She would be the most recent one kicked to the curb.
Sentiment: Strong Sell

Officers of publicly traded companies serve on each others boards... you line my pockets and I'll line yours. It's a very low and filthy racket. And "YOU" dear shareholders are the losers.
People within the company have indicated that some of the B.O.D. have obtained their seats on the board as a reward for purchasing Orion lighting for companies they work for. Nice six figure payday for a few days a year of socializing.
There is quite obviously "NO" oversight by the board at Orion. The only hope for this company is a takeover. That hasn't happened yet as the officers of the company have mandated an obscenely large, unfair, unjust, burdensome, unethical and downright dishonest Golden exit payout payday package for themselves, no matter what terms they leave under. In short it will cost the shareholders countless millions to remove this less than marginal subspecies.

The board of directors belong to the same old boys club as company management.
The B.O.D. are paid loads of cash for doing virtually nothing.... or nothing much. And certainly nothing that must be done to save this company from current management. John (Are You Ready for Some Awesome Returns) Scribante and his court.
The actions ... or inaction as it may be of the B.O.D. have proven they are interested only in self enrichment and have no concern for the company or it's shareholders.
Remember, observe the actions of the B.O.D. and management for the truth as their words, they have proven untrue.

Fortunately I have never worked there.
Why did they quit?
Do they fire good people?
What about the factory workers?
How many employees does Orion have?
What is employee morale like, both up front and on the factory floor?
What do you know about the Chicago operation?
What is your take on the company and where it's headed.
Yes sniperman, that thought occurred to me as well. Orion's minions (or maybe company officers) have conducted numerous fishing expeditions on this board.
As usual sniperman you are spot on with the comment, "there was plenty there management wouldn't want investors to read".
Let's make it so there "is" plenty (of truths) there managment wouldn't want investors to see.
Everyone who posted to sustainabledev9000's original post...REPOST all your original comments right here right NOW.
Might not be any of those things. Could have been doing a little "fishing" to see who would speak up and what might be said. If Sustainabledev9000 is an insider there was plenty there the company would not want people to read.
