Can anyone give me one reason not to take my 5k loss and take my remaining 3k and not just go to the casino and put it on odd and double my money. If I don't it will just go to zero and I will be out everything anyway. Serious any good reason to hold this #$%$????
Everybody must get stoned. Rolling Stones coming to Milwaukee on June 23, maybe OESX can get them to visit the plant to see the new ganja lights !!
Callthegame, if you have a "Strong Sell" rating, why do you bother posting on this board? If you taken your own advise, then you've sold the stock. After I sell a stock I move on to something more promising and I don't bother posting on the message board. On the other hand, if you're short the stock, then why should longs believe anything you post? Of course there's concern about the old business fading. But that concern is baked into the price. Any good news going forward and the stock will move up. So if you're out, get a life. And if you're short, then keeping selling short. We longs are betting you're wrong. Buyers and sellers make the market. And time will tell if being long or short was the right move.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Recent poor sales and earning report without much solid encouragement going forward. They have a long ways to go to get margins where they need to be at a sales level that will profitably support the fixed cost/ overhead they have in place. - t
This a speculative investment. It could provide handsome returns if they can turn things in the next couple of quarter. - If not then there is still about $2.26 potential downside..... (A couple of good quarters adn and a steady upward trend and you could see $7 -$9 - but they have to EXECUTE
"I just have been watching Orion and am not familiar with the implications of what's being called the "upsized public offering". Is it just that a lot more shares will be in circulation?"
It's not even that there will be a lot more in circulation and that can't be the reason - the offering was done three months ago and the price was $3.50/share. Officers and directorsalso bought shares from the offering.
What happened today is a combination of a knee-jerk reaction, program trading, and a large shareholder who dumped a large block (390,600 shares) in the last 30 minutes.
If you haven't listened to the conference call, go to Seeking Alpha and review the transcript. All in all, it wasn't so terrible. Management is doing what they said they would do, the business is beginning to turn the corner, margins are beginning to improve, and the outlook is good.
Over the next week or two, the share volume will trend back to its normal level, cooler heads will be taking an objective look at things, and the shares will recover back to $3.00 to $3.25 and hold there until next earnings report.
Financial position is strong, and the business is adjusting to the new plan.
Not the end of the world. Good time to get in or pick up more cheap shares if you are able and aren't totally put off at this point.
appletonrocks--LOL. I was wondering what the next rabbit coming out of the hat might be. Reality is that some group is likely going to target this one for a short attack soon. Let's see how strong those market makers are then.
I hear the EVP told all employees that they "are making their numbers" and there is a "large investor investing in the company". Good to know EVP! Sounds like insider trading to me??? not sure why he would have done that?? The only reason I can think of is to stop the mass exodus of employees leaving to find other jobs??
Sentiment: Strong Sell
"concentrated on manufacturing"? that shows how much you know Topline. They are not concentrated on manufacturing, they are buying and reselling. If you are a shareholder ask to take a tour of the plant. You will find very few employees who aren't temp agency workers (they bring them in whenever they have an order to fill). They are only assembling at the plant now, they are bringing in all of their product from overseas.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
Who knows? They haven't announced the date for their 4Q 2015 earnings call yet, either. Last year they posted earnings on 5/12 and announced the date 4/29. Creative accounting at work? Or trying to figure out how to spin another dismal quarter?
When this company went public almost seven years ago the stock opened at $13.00 per share, it's trading at under $3.00 now.
Remember when the current CEO "John Scribante" took over and he asked the investors at the annual shareholders meeting if the shareholders were ready for "AWESOME RETURNS" and they all screamed YES, YES, YES ?????
Well John Scribante, we are waiting.... Still waiting.
I was approached today with regard to charting a bus to the annual shareholders meeting.
Who is interested in traveling to and from the shareholders meeting on a charter bus? We can make arrangements for lunch or dinner in a private dining room environment on the return trip if there is interest.
We can utilize this time together to collectively discuss a plan of action and possibly form a committee to pursue action against Orion on behalf of the shareholders. The bus trip shall be open to institutional and private shareholders alike, ALL are encouraged to attend. Employees of Orion, their immediate family, Board members, and or representatives of the before mentioned shall be excluded.
All this is dependent of course on Orion management disclosing the date, time and location of the meeting. So far, I am told, they have refused to disclose any of this information . They quite obviously DO NOT want shareholders to be present and may attempt to prevent and or limit shareholder attendance and participation.
Please respond or contact me directly through email.
