Drod, they don't listen to the little guy. I have been doing quite long on other issues. 37k on tsrx thanks to that old pip sucker golong giving a heads up. Ret turned ke on to cadx and I scored 50k. In other stocks I done well with the old in out. Could have made a killing doing the in out on siga for the last 4 years. My holdings are almost all bio, the largest are ATRS. CUR, INO and IDRA. I keep a 5k share core and trade around the dips and peaks. I must admit, holding siga has been quite an education. good luck to you. If you happen to go bio again and hit another board, I have morphed into a salamander.
Hey tween. Sorry to hear you've come to that point. I'm just desperately trying to hold until I can get my money back, that's it. Very sad state of position for this ccompany. But the scvmbags still keep collecting money. The good news for you is that you appear to be seeing reality unlike the rest of these fools. Do yourself a favor though...and me, and the rest of the people that have lost tons of money due to pure incompotence...start contacting Todd F at KCSA and demand they remove Rose. Emails, phone calls, letters, whatever. They NEED to hear from us, the little guy. Start turning up a little heat and maybe Rose will get the boot and at least he'll get what he eventually deserved for being careless. Why should WE be the only ones that suffer financially for HIS mistakes?? Just think about it, that's all I ask.
Yeah Drod, you finally have a friend! I thought maybe it would be Mo but that looks like it didn't work out too well. I'm about ready to pull the plug on Siga, between a lazy CEO and a lazy judge they have just about killed this stock.
I bought some MNKD after hours at $8.12...They got FDA panel approval today for oral insulin in Type 1 and 2 diabetes. Been a long road to approval for those folks. Stock is up over 115% AH from a $4.15 close the day before. I could get killed tomorrow given how much I paid up for it AH but posting the trade anyway in the spirit of honesty and full disclosure on this Board. Maybe it will be catching...who knows? 68.5 million shares short. Good luck sleeping on that position tonight...LOL!
I get them fairly soon after I post on any Board on Yahoo. There is a person here who is extremely mentally ill. These are the nut jobs you unfortunately read or see on the nightly news much too often. Mental illness is a real problem today in our modern world, and we see it right before our eyes every day on this site. I hope the person, or persons here, who are stalking us, seek the mental help they so dearly need...The sooner the better too.
Nah...Give this one some time Drod. Just added more at $13.80. This is a real company with a proven
real product. Have the same conviction you did with NFLX. Bios still in the selloff mode. This too shall end.
If you can hold a short from $300 to $450 and back down again, you can stand a stock that goes from $15 to
Where is McAndrews and Forbes or Transtech or RP listed as owners?????? On M&F website they show Siga as one of their companies, and several board members are shared between M&F and their companies. It also looks like some techology, ie small molecule drugs are being developed by at least one other co. This seem incestuous. The small investor has no insight or rights, as it appears. Anybody care to shed some light???? Please?????
Thanks Habbas and enjoyed the candidness, and the exchange. I always post my trades literally within minutes of doing them for the reasons you so noted. I have been doing this for quite some time on this Board including ones that ended up huge winners, but there have been losers as well (ONTX)...lol). Sounds like you are close to breakeven, if not even profitable on your Siga investment, which is good.
The long term story for Siga, if there is one, is likely a value proposition that the company will have a fairly good chunk of cash at the end of the Barda contract(s) with probably fairly modest LT liabilities. As such, the company might be in a positon at that time to either declare a large one time terminating cash dividend to shareholders, or, go out and use the cash to buy a viable on-going and promising small to mid cap company.
I do not believe that Siga, as presently organized and operated, will have a viable on-going business once the
Barda contracts come to an end (presuming they do...maybe they go on forever, who knows?). There is no developed "pipeline". They have no contracts other than BARDA. They have downsized operatiions and over head of late. There remains major litigation issues and potential liablities as a result thereof. This is a company in contraction, not expansion IMHO.
This is where I primarily differ from the Siga longs on this Board. I do not see the operation through
rose colored glasses (no pun intened..lol). Show me Siga's long term business plan and I could well
change my opinion, but as of now, I just don't see it. By the way, does anyone know what that long
term business plan is?
According to a Facebook post last Thursday by the Virginia boy's mom, since being given Chimerix's medicine the adenovirus has all but disappeared, he is out of intensive care and has made a remarkable turnaround, all according to an article in the Friday edition of the News and Observer in Raleigh, NC.
OK – since you’re interested, I also have (at least) one other alias in act2sjm. The use of habbas3000 was based upon the rude poster named habbas2000, who insisted (a while ago, as you’ll see) that anyone holding OXHP was an idiot and should sell all to buy CPQ. After that stupid suggestion, he said we were idiots who should buy MRVC (which promptly marched into the pinks.) I use H3K now to reply to rude posters.
As for my holdings, I don’t know why you expect honesty – I never do on these boards, which is why I am sincerely impressed by anyone who posts their trades in real time (assuming the trades are realistic – lots of people claim trades at prices that a stock never saw on the day they claim, and then lamely say “it was in after hours”. Sure.)
But, for the sake of discussion, I initially bought after I read about the stock on Andy Tobias’ blog. That was a while ago. I think it was in the 4s, but it might have been higher. After they lost the ruling to PIP, I more than doubled down, I think in the low 2s. Do you believe that? I don’t know that I would, but it happens to be the sequence, although I’m not sure of the prices?
Don’t believe I don’t know the prices? I guess I could look them up if I cared, but I honestly don’t care enough to; I buy for the long term, and every day I reevaluate why I’m holding a stock. If I don’t like the story, I sell. Doesn’t matter what I paid. I’m willing to wait for the story to come true if I think it will eventually, and the reward for it doing so is there. As Ben Graham said, “In the short run, the market is a voting machine, in the long run it’s a weighing machine.” (continued next post)
