bsdetector, the MOR for April was filed today. It indicated shareholder equity at negative $60.36M, so you can update your figures. Perhaps you can give us a pre-bankruptcy figure, say the 10 months prior to the filing as a comparison.
Interestingly, today's filing shows the POST-petition liabilities are $3.46M, so they haven't exactly been burning through cash.
Finally, inclusive of today's filing, we have figures for 9 1/2 months. While it's true that it's now been 10 months since the b/k filing, your figure was actually for 8 1/2 months. I'm surprised you didn't note that as it makes things look worse overall. That said, it is often the case in b/k that common shareholders are left with little or nothing as you rightly point out.

FYI for anyone reading this, Larry Brubaker has many alias's. he wont bash shareholders with the noway one because many posters have begun to like what he has to say in the past year.
rest assure, Larry, noway, detectorofbs, etc, dont care about you or your money. his post prove it and his 24/7 stalking of this board tell you everything about him. -
Read what they say in their most recent SEC filing:
"No assurance can be given as to the value, if any, that may be ascribed to the Company’s common stock as a result of the Chapter 11 process. The Company cannot predict what the ultimate value of its common stock may be or whether the holders of such common stock will receive any distribution in the Company’s reorganization; however, it is likely that such common stock will have very little or no value given the amount of the Company’s liabilities compared to the Company’s assets."
In the 10 months since the company filed for bankruptcy, shareholders' equity has gone from negative $53.5 million to negative $59.8 million. Therefore, the deficit has increased by another $6.5 million over those 10 months.
I see no reason to believe that the common stock will valued at anything above the "very little to no value" that the company itself says is likely. -
I see that Smith cancelled their IPO last fall. Not a single piece of news for 2013 on their website. Are they still in business?

What is happening with EVI and Valence these days?
Sounds like EVI is still cranking out trucks every month with Valence batteries. Freightliner seems to be pleased with their partnership. -
Any updates on the marine business for Valence Technology?

How is VIA Motors doing with Carl Berg and Bob Lutz?
Is that still happening?
They obviously are not buying from A123. Has Valence gotten any business from them recently? Any discussions going on between the companies. -
Anyone out there have any idea how to find out if Carl Berg has any intention of keeping the current company running and the current common stock intact?
Has anyone spoken with Mr Berg and shared on this or other boards? -

Some very good points have been made as to why Berg would want the common to survive. Maybe we get some pennies back if this is true. We shall see. RDK.

Mr. Johnson, seems to me like this nowaynohow chap had a pretty rational response to the spamming and immature insults by hypesters on Yahoo who post under multiple aliases.
By the way, wasn't nowaynohow the person who predicted a year ago that VLNC would be forced to resort to variable rate financing? Didn't you accuse nowaynohow of slandering Valence for this prediction? Or was that some other poster on Yahoo who also just happens to sound exactly like you?
Weren't FMK and mooter the guys who kept claiming that VLNC would be able to secure non-dilutive asset-based financing? Weren't they claiming there were multiple sources of favorable financing for VLNC? It seems to me like this nowaynohow irritates you because he has a tendency to be right, while the posters with inside knowledge and impressive credentials tend to be wrong over and over again.

I understand that during a recent bug on Yahoo, it was possible to see a posters true id. It seems that Larry Brubaker was confirmed to be the poster known as Nowaynohow(2 sources)! Big surprise, huh? The funny thing is that Larry (and also coincidentally and mysteriously, Visnic) claim that I am a poster there as Larry Brubaker. Frankly, I just can't stop laughing at this. I can't begin to say just how funny I find this suggestion! Larry gets exposed, and makes up this asinine story. I'd like to claim that I am surprised by this, but I am not. -
We've known that VLNCQ will be cancelled in the end, but just trading it. Bought millions at $0.008-0.015 and sweet gains!
