anyone know what verizon has planned for AOL as regards what internet customers will see
either the same or differently?
i ask, because at this point i am about to drop AOL as my content provider. i had them since
the old days, -90's- but at this point, it isn't doing me much good. AOL's lost several of "My Favorites,"
and also lost my financial "My Portfolio" when it allowed another company (subcontractor) to begin
making money off AOL's "Finanance" site....
i hate to make the move after all these years, but i really don't see much sense in keeping AOL and paying the 25 bucks a month for no good reason....
Didn't want to pay the $38 reorganization fee to my broker. I originally bought in 1996... sold off some over the years... pure profit on the table and I still have TWC, TIME, and TWX stock. Glad it was a cash offer; no interest in owning VZ stock in any manner.
I think there are idiots out there who are unaware AOL was bought for 50.00, and whenever some positive news comes out about AOL, they rush in to buy, and drive it up by a few pennies. I hope they keep doing it till the deal is closed, I'll keep taking their money.
