re smoked lobster..Obama just legalised the killing of bald eagles a la the wind energy. Please update yourself before you post.
meant a $3 million fine and heaps of scorn from the public and their hand puppet politicians. Well, if you're an oilsands company it did.
But if you're the American wind power "industry" (for lack of an appropriate communist term), turbines killing 440,000 birds each year, including many golden and bald eagles, no one seems to notice. In fact, the U.S. government just made that exact outcome completely legal. The blatant, brazen hypocrisy of these people ids maddening, and the pandering to it by gutless politicians is outrageous.
"It turns out that killing birds in the name of industry is not that as big a deal as many environmentalists would have us believe. It just depends on the industry" --- Kelly McParland.
Middle-East conflict or a technological breakthrough that makes oil sand less nasty to burn would help!People need energy so demand is not going away!
well hey, its down today but eventually Canada is going to get their product to the market. when that happens the price of Canadian oil stocks and pipelines will shoot up. If your a simple day trader I can see where you might be hesitant, but if your a long term investor, im seeing real potential... either way, good luck to ya..
You must be looking at analysts targets for SU....and doubling. The analysts have been steadily over optimistic on SU for over two years now, projecting their $40's. Where 'd those guys study Bus. & Finance ?
I'd think $/BBL will be lowered much further to make room for disposable income and boost economy a little. I would probably buy in when SU turned below $22/share. The Shale gas projection, preparation for natural gas infrastructure and US's strong urge to be oil independent definitely indicate the future trend, instead of playing a guessing game, I'm jumping out and jumping into something that evaluation makes sense:
Oil Sands production/distribution is still a 'work in progress'.Obama will not stay president forever. The jobs, energy security and tax revenue that would be created if only the USA would co-operate with its largest trading partner and loyal ally!Vehicles with internal combustion engines will become increasingly more efficient.Alternative energy vehicles like electric would not even exist with taxpayer funded subsidies.I hate waiting too, but maybe one day Suncor will be allowed to grow into a major oil company and we can say we got in on the main floor!Go Red Wings!
its going to be hard to go wrong with a large oil field, now matter what the outcome of the project... as far as projects go, any thought on TRP and the eastern pipeline?
