If what you said is correct. They are losing massive money everyday.
How long can they pay the dividend. Until they go Chap 7?
Going 20 soon at this rate . It will soon losing money for every barrel that it produces. the fixed cost is $35 per barrel. When you add in the distribution, marketing, etc. the all in costs must be in the 60 -70. In other words, it is depleting its capital. oIL SAND OIL pO;
Perhaps most people won't believe me, but that really do not matter in the bigger picture. It does not change my own life situation or yours.
As for credibility, again... if you assume anyone on these message boards has any credibility other than yourself, then you deserve to lose money. People who invest because others tell them to, but without examining the numbers themselves, deserve to lose.

I would suggest that 31.5 is the lowest possible bottom, based on historic reasons (share buybakc level) as well as the august 21 options. A lot of high put volume and put interest at the 32 CAD strike. However, I have been noticing the past week and a half that this has shifted very significantly. A few weeks ago, the 32 put strike open interest was around 30k with high volume around 5-8k. The calls were very small in comparison. Today, the puts and calls have evened out. There is an uptrend in the options market. There are actually more calls than puts now in both volume and open interest. This suggests to me that institutional buying will start sooner than they are letting on, and that it has actually begun. The stock may push down lower, but I attribute this more to retail than institution at this point. I suspect that as retail is selling off, institutional buying is slowly averaging in until the retail catches on (which is always too late).
Fundamentals of 1.2 book at the moment for a stellar company. it really is a bargain right now, even if it does go down some more. 5 years down the line, you might be buying shares from the same people you are selling them to today.
Waiting for earnings is fine, but do be careful. It might pop afterwards, and then as you are waiting for a pullback it may keep going higher. Then when you capitulate, it may be a missed opportunity.
it is never fun trying to catch a falling knife. I recall back in 2008-2009 how #$%$ it felt to see money continue to dissipate, however today more than 5 years later I am very happy with the decisions I made.
See here's the problem :
If your claim about $20 million pharma gain is a lie, that's just sad.
But even if it's true, most people here won't believe you anyway. And then you're credibility is shot, and your backing of SU as an investment turns into a negative.
Don't brag online. Warren doesn't even brag in person.
Initiated a position at 34 CAD, bought more at 33. If it reaches 32 I will buy more, and the same at 31 and so on.
During 2008-2009 I did the same thing with Valeant Pharma and right now I am sitting on over 20 million in profit from VRX alone. I also added to my Berkshire position back then, and apple too and made a tidy sum.
If you are shorting this, thank you. Keep going so I get this cheaper and cheaper.
I see some people making fun of Buffett here, and good luck with that. They also made fun of him back in 2008 when he was busy buying. The stocks he bought went down another 30%, and many people were calling him an out of date dinosaur. And yet, look what happened after March 2009. People stopped laughing, and instead complained that QE wasn't fair, stayed on the sidelines and got in late with the rest of the retail suckers.
There timing is simply the best! I shorted the market prior to it plummeting and made money, and went long when I received there daily video saying to buy at the bottom and again bigtime in the money on both calls! There daily video its free, and maybe it can help you like it has helped me.

It is production on the rise on its growth path again . Penalty to oil spilled was finalized and a much better integrated oil with global footprint. Oil sand is no longer profitable source of oil at this price. I will see how long SU can stay up. SU still has room to fall. .

You seem to have a serious wealth envy issue.
Was perhaps your father a shoe shine boy, and couldn't get you any Christmas presents?
And how does that make you feel now?
