bought at 10.87, it was falling like a rock, after I placed the order it dropped to the lowest price of the day ~9.7 and then jumped back up to ~13.0
Someone just lost their job selling at market instead a limit order. I was watching two other stocks and missed that buying opportunity. Oh well.
They'll find one or two things to invest in with the proceeds. An 8% dividend is fine, not spectacular. I invest in it anytime MacKay or Day buy in since the IPO.
The asset sale increases the value of the shares. I am very suprised that the shares did not go higher than it did. That is a 120-140million gain for shareholders pretax and after management fee. That is something like 2 plus dollars in equity gains.
dividend------- Codi reported a very nice quarter. Almost all their companies are doing well. Nevertheless, I seriously doubt we will get a special dividend after the sale of CamelBac at a very nice profit. The present distribution ( over 8% ) is rather generous considering prevailing interest rates. Starting with a 8% plus distribution, you don't need much capital appreciation to generated a decent total return. The Tide should have a very good team again this year. If they can find a QB who can play winning football, they should have a very successful season. All other pieces appear to be in place. Good luck to you.
Sure would be nice for CODI to share some of the profit from the Camelbac sale with its share holders, far fetched I know, but it would be nice. I`m glad to finally be able to say, it`s fantastic to see CODI back on track to being a profitable Co. again, even the furniture business is doing as good as can be expected. B. J., sure will be nice to see the Crimson Tide back on the field again.
tell that to GWPH 2 year chart... hemp is worth more money with CODI im betting. only a matter of time before the money hits
