Institutions getting things ready for taxes on their books. The whole market dropped. They still have paperwork etc. to do before vacations commence. I feel the big reason for the drop. Also tapering may begin earlier.
Consolidated Communications completes purchase of SureWest Communications
MATTOON, Ill. – Consolidated Communications announced today it completed the purchase of SureWest Communications on Tuesday, July 2.
Consolidated Communications announced in February that it would acquire the California-based company and its approximately 267,000 residential connections and 16,000 business subscribers in Northern California and Kansas City. SureWest Communications and Consolidated Communications shareholders voted in favor of the acquisition on June 12.
You have that BASSACKWARDS! Yeah I spelled it that way on purpose.
Here is your problem. " yet to be prosecuted or brought against them " and " I have heard, if and when " When you want to put fear of a stock into a story you can't use statements like this, while they provide you with cover they also make your attempt transparent.
Buy or hold these shares at your own risk, In my opinion, based on factual evidence, Surewest was already a Bankrupt company, having zero assets to sell at the time the sale or merger took place with Consolidated. The company went bankrupt due to a number of violations, yet to be prosecuted or brought against them. One of which is fabricating their "Lifeline" claims against the Federal government , milking the American public of millions of dollars. Second, amongst other charges are; RFID a group of American Citizens without their knowledge. I have heard, if and when these parties sue CNSL and Surewest and its subsideries, they MUST file bankruptcy, as their insurance does not cover RFID or other serious criminal acts which was conducted with malice and intent.
Very good income stock. Here's how I play it. Always hold a core position for the dividend. Then buy additional positions below 17 sell above 17. Follows this pattern over and over. SHHH don't tell anybody else.
this stock fell into my pf with a merger. I planed to dump it right away till I started getting the divi. they have sustained the dividend since 05. very high Institutional & Mutual Fund holding. I say Hold.
I have held this stock for several years, the dividend has been great, but no capital appreciation and currently I have a small loss. Any investors care to share their outlook for this stock?
Kopach, There is a grain of truth in what you say , but I don't think you know what it is. The feds as well as other central banks are keeping rates low , buying bonds etc... and that will drive the market somewhat. When they stop doing so it will because other factors will take over, namely the econmoy has improved and that will drive the market. When that slows down the markets will fall and when they fall enough the economy will slow down and the feds will step in again. And on and on. Will it always be a smooth up and down? No but it's been working fo a very long time.
All chasing yield return here. Thank all your worldwide central ban ks for these games. It will en d ugly once it starts it will be a massive free fall to get out. All easy money has been made already. Never seen a market this crazy buying anything to get yield at any price. It always e nds ugly on reality.
