"I think capitalism is great, but I also understand that capitalism in and of itself will never address all of societies problems." This is the most important thing said in your post. Yes, I agree. Capitalism will not address all of society's problems. For example, you have mentally ill people and people with Down's syndrome that need to be taken care of and should have a decent life. Republicans agree with this as well.
Sanders wants to take a disproportionate amount away from working folks including the middle class, and give it away to those who do not want to work. They want to stay home, eat junk food, and make more babies so they can get more from the government. Margaret Thatcher once said, "The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money [to spend]." Sanders can't seem to understand this.
If private industry could find a way to compete with selected monopolies like utilities, it would. It can't and I have invested in XEL's long term strategy and dividend.
stockminder - you don't think Bernie likes the idea of government selected monopolies like, say, public utilities, the same as you? This is welfare for capitalist in its most blatant form, a welfare you're participating and profiting by. Yes, I do own a little XEL, have for years. And no, I'm not so hypocritical to think that what I have invested in is free from being influenced by government actions and regulations. I think capitalism is great, but I also understand that capitalism in and of itself will never address all of societies problems. As long as politicians can use the process to divide us, we will always be blaming another instead of looking in the mirror. Let's get beyond the rhetoric.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Well, s/he doesn't say if they are employed or where they live. If they do live in the U.S., a good assumption would be that they have more time than money with the waste of time as seen through the content of the post. With such time to waste, I would not be surprised that they are proponents of Sander's. Bernie Sanders wants to take from those who earn money and give it to those that don't. If he gets a national minimum wage of $15, you will just see more people asking to cut their hours to keep on welfare and the benefits it provides. Much the same as happened at Seattle's Coffee Company in the state of Washington.
Stockminder, why would you think this poster is a Sanders supporter? He mIght not even be in the US -- probably is not (labor is cheaper abroad, of course). And note that he actually does have a job, even if it is bad: ruining message boards with spam.
What motivates people like you to post such garbage? Do you somehow get paid for this baloney? Or are you bored and have nothing better to do? I'll bet you support Bernie Sanders so you can keep living on the dole and getting money from the people who actually work. You should get a life!! Really.
