    World Nuclear Association

    by budthomps2727 Mar 25, 2016 1:17 PM

The WNA public website is intended to provide the best available non-technical source of information on the global nuclear industry. The site presents reference documents, and a wide range of educational and explanatory papers which are constantly updated. Australian nuclear power advocate Ian Hore-Lacy served as the organization’s Director of Public Information for 12 years, after working for six years at the now defunct Melbourne-based Uranium Information Centre. In the late 2000s, the information-disseminating role of the UIC was assumed by the WNA and WNN (World Nuclear news).

The WNA supports World Nuclear News (WNN), an online news service intended to bring accurate and accessible information on developments in nuclear power to WNA's industry readers and the general public. Its output is free of charge and may be widely reproduced in accordance with WNN's copyright policy.

Lightbridge and Areva join forces on metallic nuclear fuel

    16 March 2016

Lightbridge Corporation has entered into a Joint Development Agreement with Areva NP to assess establishing a joint venture this year for the development, manufacture and commercialization of fuel assemblies based on Lightbridge's "next generation" metallic nuclear fuel technology. The parties will share the cost of the work scope to be performed under the JDA, with Areva contributing in-kind for its share of the costs.

In a statement yesterday, Virginia, USA-based Lightbridge said the two companies are to agree on the terms and conditions to complete the remaining scope of work, as well as a technology licensing arrangement and other agreements needed to form and operate the joint venture company. The companies have agreed to work exclusively together in the area covered by the JDA, which will remain in force until the formation of the joint venture or 31 December at the latest.

But no, Chess says its a SCAM along with 4 Knuckleheads and their thumbs up!

  • The World Nuclear Association (WNA) is the international organization that promotes nuclear power and supports the companies that comprise the global nuclear industry. Its members come from all parts of the nuclear fuel cycle, including uranium mining, uranium conversion, uranium enrichment, nuclear fuel fabrication, plant manufacture, transport, and the disposition of used nuclear fuel as well as electricity generation itself.[1]

Together, WNA members are responsible for 70% of the world's nuclear power as well as the vast majority of world uranium, conversion and enrichment production.[2]

The WNA says it aims to fulfill a dual role for its members: Facilitating their interaction on technical, commercial and policy matters and promoting wider public understanding of nuclear technology.[3] It has a secretariat of around 35 staff.

    Industry interaction[edit]

An essential role of the World Nuclear Association is to facilitate commercially valuable interaction among its members.

Ongoing WNA working groups, consisting of members and supported by the secretariat, share information and develop analysis on a range of technical, trade and environmental matters. These subjects include:[3]
Cooperation in reactor design, evaluation and licensing
    Radiological protection
    Industry economics
    Nuclear law
    Supply chain
    Transport of radioactive materials
    Waste management and decommissioning
    Capacity optimization
    Uranium mining standardization
    Construction risk management
Security of the international fuel cycle

    Why it's a scam....

I think you nailed it, Chess.

  • A form 4 was filed today by Thomss Graham. He bought 2,000 shares or 1,200 dollars worth of stock. Now why do you do that? Is Tom 15 years old and putting away for a new baseball glove? No, Tom does this NOT because he believes in the company but because similar to everything at LTBR it's not about substance BUT optics. For years all they have done has been done to create the illusion of value, all the while stock is down 95% over the same period. Seth knows there is nothing here but to keep his job, to occasionally fly 1st class, to garner what modicum of respect he can, he surrounds himself with an illustrious board (none of whom ever buy shares); he flys to places like Monaco to accept statutes while no self respecting hedge fund located in his backyard will give him a nickel; and he asks occasionally an insider to buy a nominal amount of shares every now and then with the same hope- that retail will look on at this with a sense of validity. But it's all smoke and mirrors and always has been. It started with Thorium it will end with metal fuel rods. Stock basing here at .65 cents only to make its final descent.

Will they need imaginary fuel? Because if the plants in Vietnam need drawings of nuclear fuel rods that have never been built or tested then LTBR is in tremendous shape.

  • Vietnam''s first nuclear power plant to open by 2028

Vietnam's first nuclear power plant will be put into operation by 2028.

According to a plan approved by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, nuclear power plants will be developed in Vietnam to ensure stable future power supply when domestic primary energy sources are depleted.

The capacity of nuclear power in Vietnam is set to reach 4,600 megawatt (MW) by 2030 while some 32.5 billion kWh of nuclear power will be produced, accounting for 5.7 per cent of the country's total electricity production, reported Xinhua news agency.

Lightbridge Corp has become the first US company to work with the Vietnam Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety (VARANS) following their signing of a memorandum of understanding to develop the administrative, legal and regulatory infrastructure required to support Vietnam's nuclear power program.

  • This guy is so disgusting! How do people not listen to this CC and just not vomit!

  • In fact, one of the questions was put by Gary Sharp who used to work for LTBR in IR. These guys are so desperate! Somebody ask why if things are so good and the share price not reflecting the good news nobody at LTBR will buy a share? Why oh why? Could be that that this is has been one long scam!

  • What idiot is asking this question- in 4 years when your making 120 million dollars what will you do with all that money? Did Seth pay this moron to ask this question? Why can't Seth say- well that's putting the horse before the cart. No no Seth actually corrects this idiot and says, well actually we will be making quite a bit more than that. No no this guy was a plant. Nobody is this dumb. Nobody. Not even Bud!
