CHZ, you are expressing a common message board belief that there could possibly be only one person on the message board that thinks you are a complete dunce. Therefore all aliases criticizing you must be coming from one person.
Everything May touches is turning to gold, she has even got Merkel onside for not triggering Article 50 until 2017 - I think I love her lolol. Even Boris seems to be functioning well as Foreign Secretary - think they have stripped his hard drive and rebooted him as a suave Etonian - keep checking to see if there is a port in the back of his neck Moon.
Hope your spreadbetting improved on the week Moon - for me, the portfolio has reached an all time high - BLND has proved to be an excellent purchase - by lucky chance, they have just announced a 3% rise on their quarterly dividend and are up 20% on purchase price already. BKG isn't going as well, but VOD has bounced up from £2.10 the day after Brexit, which was another top up. To be honest, I think a blind monkey equipped with some darts could have picked a few winners on that Friday - so many got over hammered, and choosing a defensive share would have had pounds rolling in.
Don't worry Moon - volatility will happen either way on BofE August rate setting meeting - if they cut the rates, it will surge, if they stay the same, the market will get the hump and go down straight away - keep an eye out for that one Moon.
Blimey, Pogba for £100m back from Juventus when Man Utd sold him for £270,000 3 years ago - are you happy with that purchase if it happens? Think Ibrahimovic will be lively, but talk is already of his body having to adapt to the Prem - he is 35 for goodness sake - old dog, new tricks? Think Liverpool have done great business signing Wijnaldum from Newcastle for £25m - he scored a load of goals in a struggling relegated Newcastle side last season.
Hang on - Mrs May said she wants to redistribute wealth among everybody, and put shareholders and workers on board meetings to keep CEO pay in check - another winner from the gorgeous PM
Shame we can't send lone German nutjobs to ISIS held Syria - if only we could arrange those shooting jobs in Daesh nests where it would do some good. Makes me not want to visit now
Just noticed BKG closed @ 25.82. You could have made a bit more but hindsight etc. Everything shot up on the interest rate cut but after next weeks biggest divi of the year on the ftse I've no doubt it'll start coming down again. I'll finish up this week but it's another pitiful showing. I haven't got many shorts on the go but unless some miracle happens next week then I'll finish down.
Forgot to say. I want a wombat now. lol. I saw a program last night about rescued animals released back into the wild and reunited with their carers and this wombat was absolutely beautiful and friendly.
I'm being overwhelmed at the moment by my veg grown in the garden but it's doing my diet the world of good. I've hit an initial weight loss target today of exactly 4 stone. That's from the beginning of April to now. I've been pretty relentless on myself with the diet and exercise. Makes me laugh though because people who haven't seen me for a while all have shocked looks on their faces. lol. Another 2 to go and I'll be where I want to be.. I'll be down to your weight. lolol.
Wombats are cute creatures - saw one "in the wild" up in Cairns Australia - but it was a wild one scurrying around for scraps in the hotel grounds - wasn't worried about the people milling about.
I topped up on LGEN @ £2.08 yesterday, but more in anticipation of their results on Tuesday - if it is good enough for Woodford lol. Yep, seen BKG has ticked higher today, but it is gone for me, and not trusting it longer term - I already have Kier as my House builder, so made deal didn't work - c'est la vie. Did the Base rate change help your trading at all? We predicted it all on this board lolol. It is the only time I have ever wished we still had a mortgage, but the moment passed approx. 5 minutes after the event lol. Savings rates fell like a stone, and bet they rise like a feather when rates eventually do rise, though it has taken 7 years since the last change, so not going to worry about it. Like you say, having the rate at .50% didn't really help us - is this the end of austerity Britain officially though? Chucked out with George Osborne I presume.
What are your thoughts on the pension triple lock as it means more to you than me? Seems odd that pensioners are protected from all the recession ill-winds, as they helped create it (albeit unwittingly) through potentially drawing more off the pension system than they put in. The Young are paying with their futures, the middle aged are paying with their present, so surely if we are all in this together, pensioners should pay for it with their past too? Best I don't run for government lolol!
Good luck catching me up on the weight front - Mrs Grim is back on weight watchers, so by default so am I - hello 10 stone 4 - good job I didn't chuck away any of my work suits, and still have the belts for my jeans - though look a bit MC Hammer-ish towards the end.
Listen to the Blossoms song called Magdelaine! Moon - sounds very 1980's with a modern twist - outstanding!
Did you like West Hams new home last night?
I think the CEO is focused on the long term prospects for Imetelstat. His focus is not to appease a bunch of neurotic retail shareholders. Geron has plenty of cash and no need to issue a bunch of Pump PRs to get the price up for a secondary. The opinion of you or anyone on this message board doesn't matter. The clinical results and estimated revenue streams are what will drive the PPS long term.
