I know, and still the Police force release stuff saying "yes, but...." and magazine for ex-police retirees praised them saying that despite Hillsborough, they did a good job and should be proud" - not the brightest thing to say!
Prince, Victoria Wood added to our list since the last post - and the BBC confirmed our suspicions Moon, there ARE more celebrities popping off then ever before - so far 2016 has seen as many obituaries as 2014 & 15 put together, however, it is not all that strange in a way, as all these folks came to the for several decades ago, and a few years back, only Hollywood actors, politicians nad top military brass were really known by the masses, whereas now, we are saturated with famous people from all walks of life, who are now entering their 60's, 70's and 80's, so I guess we have to get used to more of it happening.
Were you wanting Man Utd to lose today? lolol - didn't happen, but I heard a few Utd supporters wishing Leicester would win it at Old Trafford, particularly with Schmeichel in goal. What a fairy story though, in decades to come, people will look back on the history of Football, with Dele Ali in the studio in his '70's saying, yes it really did happen!
Loving the 3D movies Moon, a whole new perspective on some old favourites, but be careful if you invest in a 4k player, both me and my brother got caught out. They were titled "4k and upscaling" but that meant they didn't play Ultra HD blurays which are genuinely 4 times the definition of blurays. I was lucky that when my first disc came down, I was within the 28 days consumer rights period, and could get my player swapped, especially as I bought locally through the JEC. My brother used Amazon and he is now stuck with his. But boy the difference is utterly amazing - watched Exodus and it was like I could touch them such was the clarity, deeper darks, more colourful colours, wow! Bit limited on choice at the mo, but got The Revenant on order from USA as all discs are region-free

I watched a lot of it, but are you pleased you might be getting Mourinho instead of Van Gaal? Not sure he is Man Utd type of manager. Rashford gives hope for the England Euro's cause, but not sure about this Rooney midfield love-in - he plays a lot of sideways balls and reminded me of Ray Wilkins in that position, who was nicknamed "the crab" as a result of playing like that. at least you have a cup in the cupboard!. Chris Smalling - Englands main defender at the Euro's? Hope taken away again lol.
Watched Transendence French bluray today as it is the only 3d version - happy that you can choose English audio and no subtitles - took a risk ordering that from French Amazon, but worked out beautifully!
Chucking it down here today - no summer yet or anytime soon - must get away again!
Definitely no grass in our garden - it was all gravelled over before we arrived and a major selling point lol. Wouldn't mind that fake grass as it looks very realistic now, but can't be bothered spending the amount needed to cover our area, more expensive than I realised. No mowing, no bugs, no pollen - win, win, win lolol.
Have a listen to "Cake By The Ocean" by DNCE Moon - let me know what you think ;-) - best new song I'd heard in a while, much better than ABC starting up again, kept hearing the Zimmerframe creaking in the background!

Hey Moon - yup, I watched that game in a London pub and thought Wales had sealed the deal England just didn't cut the mustard for me - anyway, all to play for tonight. But don't you just love the Icelandics lol - plucky fun-derdogs that they are - don't mix that phrase up - and that weird way of chanting makes them even more endearing, like a pet parrot that amuses and entertains. Not been watching much of the Euros due to full on weekend.
Well, Coldplay, both on Thursday and Saturday were superb, better than 2012 even. Totally loved their new stuff, and the atmosphere was incredible. The wristbands add to the whole spectacle, 80,000 of them showering the scene buzzing with the colours of the rainbow - amazing!. Bizarrely though, an empty train crashed at Paddington that stopped all the tubes and infrastructure in its tracks so ended up walking for two hours back to the hotel, and there in reception was a bloke looking in disbelief - of all the people in the stadium, he was the guy we sat next to for the concert! He had to go and fetch his wife (even though it was 1:30 am) so she would believe him! lol - of all the coincidences. My brother loved it as well.
Went round 4 wonderful museums, the British, Victoria and Albert, Natural History, and Science, but though V&A was easily the best - loads of shopping at Primark (boooo!! Hiss!) plenty of Starbuck Mocha coffees, and masses of tube train riding - all stuff we can't do in Jersey.
Have had a right result with shares, took my internet device and finally bought Standard Life on Thursday for £2.985, had been waiting for months for that to go below £3, and it has already bounced nicely. Happy to hold though, and collect 6% dividend. Had a feeling the Brexit polls would eventually switch to Remain - if New Zealand couldn't even change their flag, folk hate change at the end of the day.
Do you watch Hollyoakes ever? Mrs Grim has found another soap to bore me to tears with.

Crazy, paranoid, old loon !!! imo

  • Gary, he hit the nail on the head and you don't like it. How can you possibly be invested in a company with the most dishonest and incompetent management in the history of the Universe?
Based on the message board clowns here Chippy signed a bad deal with J&J and gave away Imetelstat so why stay invested in Geron if the one drug has been given away.

I think Boris is saving himself for later on. He knows that whoever takes over will have a big mess to clear up and it'll be a thankless task. When the next one goes he'll step in and say that he can save the country. lol. Anyway, it looks like they're looking down every avenue to keep us in the EU, even saying that the referendum is only advisory and that mp's will have the final say. Even though I voted to stay in, if this result doesn't stick, I'll never vote again.
Reg Carney is a card. lolol. The pound is dropping off a cliff (remember how we've been told time and time again that a cheap currency is good for exports - everyone has been trying to devalue their currency with QE and voila, we don't even need QE to do it) but he wants more QE to stimulate the economy to stave off a recession and instill some inflation but drop the interest rate at the same time. lol. Very odd. They make all this up as they go along. I don't think anyone has a clue what to do from the politicians down to the economists. So long as they're getting their huge salaries, all is well.
I'm glad Southgate isn't going for the England job. At least he has some sense. They'll put someone like Pardew in charge. I can see it happening. The only way is down (even further down than we are now).

£34 million for a player is pretty standard these days. Ridiculous money for a player that's pretty average. He'll probably be on over £100,000 a week as well.

I don't think much of Portugal. Poland were worth a win. Come on you Welsh.

Oaky - so who to support tonight? The wonderful French with superb loyal Griezmann and their attacking flair, or the oily slicks, second hand car salesmen, cheating, play-acting simulators who waves their hand around to get other players booked, Portuguese with possibly the most obnoxious arrogant footballer ever in Portugal. Hmmm - tough choice - so think I'll choose - not to watch it at all lolol. Really not bothered by it anymore - Will check out Chris Froome in the TDF, and might watch Andy Murray, anything but painting Chairs and table in anti-rust paint - 3 days coating 2 tables and 4 chairs - Thursday Friday was supposed to be a holiday and all. Got the same two days off this week too, but if there is no beach weather, I will be the slave labourer again.
Going to buy BKG tomorrow Moon - 8% dividend can't be ignored, so makes sense as can use trading reserve charged @ 6.75% dr interest and still making on the deal, whilst slowly whittling the debt down. They have been oversold since Brexit vote, and investors have caught on to the fact.
See Prescott has admitted he was wrong over Iraq and apologized - wonder if Blair will even scratch his head for a second to wonder if he was wrong. By the way, any thoughts on getting your second woman Prime Minister in either May or Leadsome? Don't think either is a Thatcher and will potentially call an early General Election because of the shambles that is the Labour Party at present. Will give them a mandate for the next 5 years, and they can negotiate the Brexit and say the people gave them authority to do it. May for 3 years, retire, and then you get Boris. Following Cameron will be a poisoned chalice - a bit like Moyes following Ferguson lol.
