I agree BB was not that political. I know I am since I see it from a big picture perspective and know for fact the issue is the head people at FDA are corrupt, just as they are with every other federal government agency. This government largesse is funded by the taxpayers and printing of dollars and they just don't care to be ethical any more since they are swimming in the money. Have you been to Washington DC lately? I have and it is obvious they are thriving. Amarin, as well as Amarin investors, have been tremendously hurt financially by this corruption. But unfortunately since the whole federal government system is corrupt, there is no or little hope of any recourse for these damages.
It's really tough to say exactly what is going on. I THINK that people with a short position are slowly covering their positions or insiders are doing something weird. I THINK this is a good thing and then when they are done doing whatever it is they are doing, we will go up. There was very very similar movement before the big run last year. Check out volume and price movement directly before the huge 2014 run and you will see a lot of parallels.
Time is the one commodity we don't have in business, have to hit the ground running here (need new products). It seems though, that some things are starting to line up but, really need to see the numbers benefit from running the new plant to capacity. I want to hear a conference call after the quarter and if the numbers aren't improving, than why and, whats being done to turn it around and when can we expect to see improvement. Business 101! (margin expansion, top-line growth, bottom-line growth? EBITA positive?) the hallmarks of a successful company! jl
Non-answer that avoided the low level of expertise among the 911 truthers AND no response on the people who peer reviewed Bazant.and Murphy with DOES address WTC1 & 2. Same old, same old.
Motley food did a positive mention of the stock a few hours ago.. Not a big deal but just states the obvious that the shares are worth buying and ignoring the short term charades.
Yes dineloser I'm soooo short and so afraid of you. It's a stupid post do you know why it shot up so much? An event that won't happen again and bolstered by mad pumpers.... do you know why it shot down soooo much? (Obviously you can't and won't).
Just by saying that I'm an underwater short shows your stupidity... have you seen the sp? Have you? At no point in the last year except for this morning could I have shorted and been underwater you moron! LOL. Just because people don't pump with false and misleading statements does not mean they are short. It more likely means they are true longs using realistic numbers. Sorry you're not and have lost money you didn't have.
Thanks for your response. Your $2.50 bottom value seems way too high to me. The current price is close to that right now and I am sure a lot of the current price still has some glassware value.
Tax loss carry forward is not worth much if they don't make a profit. A current tax law makes tax loss carry forward of little value for an acquiring company. Unless they have turned OVRL's business around it is not worth near $2.5 per share. OVRL had become a very low value losing business before ANY acquired it. Thank you ANY. I actually made money selling my OVRL shares after the announced buyout. Didn't want ANY stock because it looked not like betting on red which has almost a 50% chance of winning but more like betting on a roulette number which has about 3% of winning but would then pay big. I am following here in case glassware actually starts selling or their stock price drops down to non glassware value. As I look at their negative tangible book value I wonder if this company has any value besides the glassware potential.
For their naviete and lack of wisdom has enriched the coffers of the kingdom of the One who walks behind the Rows who has smartly wagered against this company of liars and scam artists. Their place in the underworld will be accompanied by the most lecherous of the sinners who have pumped this company to inflated values. Begone sinners! Repent to the Prophet and Behold the Nazarean!!!
Sentiment: Strong Sell
Management is fully aware of the situation, hence the capital raise. They aren't going to buy early stage or prospective type businesses. They want revenue, growth, and earnings, and they want it now. That's the only way to mask what's going on in the underlying businesses. It's the only way to elevate the stock price.
What's more, I think they're going to have to make moves this year. They've lead everyone to expect an accretive acquisition. To fail to make one now would be disappointing, to say the least.
They just had an offer for near $95 and turned it away. I would say nobody on the board wants to sell it.
I think it's safe to say that the street still doesn't trust MMM and that the short lag in reporting final results has delayed some buyers from pulling the trigger and given hope to some of the shorts. Although I realize EXEL has no control over the evaluation committee, an early end to the trial (especially considering the fast track designation and the earlier trial PFS) would be very welcome, or else we will bounce around the 2.5 to 3 level until the trial results are finally revealed.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Here is the problem. If you are thinking about a buyout, you must consider the price. First and foremost, this company has been kept alive with borrowed money from the IPO to now. Borrowed, in that they issue stock to pay their bills. It does not generate a profit. That said if you take the larger holders and include the reverse split you come out with a breakeven of about $8-$12/share. This in no way is influenced by any addional options, where ever they might be. This is the out of pocket cash put out by Ripp, Berg, Pudong and more importantly the Private Placement invesors.
If you think that my math is correct( i'm close within a few $) then how could a normal transaction be put together?
Do you see anyone making this type of offer? No.
More likely there is a pump and dump going on, newsletter, broker tip or some form of business transaction that has leaked.
In the absence of a news release tomorrow, look for the stock to hold these levels. Without that, the hand writing is on the wall.
