by keeve06 •Feb 22, 2013 9:30 AMYou obviously do not understand how ETFs work. Only Authorized Partipants are allowed to create or redeem shares with the fund manager. The redemption/creation of she's is generally done in-kind, and within fraction of a second. Upon creation or redemption the authorized participant is arbitraging any spreads that exist between mkt and the funds trading nav. The arbitrage of the inefficiency is done nearly instaneously and brings nav back toward actual intrinsic value.

They add a little and dump a little almost everyday to balance the fund to the price of silver.
Since April 2011, on the whole, they've dumped 800 tons of silver, net
There was nearly 11,400 tons in April 2011, and now only 10,602
