Greece, Greece, bladdy Greece - I'm getting sick of this drama being played out like a slow motion car crash - we all know that this will be resolved ultimately, and is only a bit of puffed-up pigeon politicking on all sides - give us a break and get it over with - though you have enjoyed the volatility to make profits, to me it has proved to be an opportunity to swap into an even more defensive position a la Woodford.

If you win the toss at Lords, you will win the Test match and probably the series - England are by no means world-beaters all of a sudden, but neither are Australia - they will all have to get their tossing right for the start of each game.

See Sterling has engineered his Man City move then - £49m!!!. Why swap RVP for Swinestiger? On ageing old gunslinger for another? nteresting to see Fabian Delph the Aston Villa captain refusing a move to Man CItee though, not wanting to rot in the reserves as per other young English players - pleased!

If your break even figure is 46p I would say you stand to do very well.

Don't try and analyse England, just enjoy the game so far, and pray that the words "England collapse" don't materialize in their second innings - they are so brittle, it would not surprise me to see them #$%$ defeat from the jaws of victory!.

Man Utd are title contenders this season - Gary Neville said so!. Can't wait for it all to start again - close season is so boring with no Olympics, no world Cup

Very happy with FTSE shares again - great reports from AZN and GSK - should have bought some RDSB though, have been keeping a watching brief, but they shot up on their report today and divi maintained which was in doubt after the BG takeover.

    18 weeks to go....

Not selling George Harrison stuff - you are right, too much of a sentimental attachment which is silly really, as I never even met him! Will buy stuff from stars I hate in future lol. Hitlers old wardrobe, Madonna's ego holder, George Formbys ukulele, Douglas Baders false legs - its all up for grabs Moon. Anything tickle your fancy?

They're implying that it's going to either rocket or crash on Monday morning. If people are long only then they'd better have enough cash in their accounts and likewise if short only. I bet my last penny that if it rockets, it'll fall back within the week and if it crashes it'll recover within the week but a lot are going to be crushed whichever way it goes. I managed to get another short on Friday so I'm not too unhappy about my positions although I've slightly more longs than shorts. Does that mean I'm a bull? lolol. The Greeks should never have been allowed to join the monetary union. It was all fiddled to get them in and they just wanted to live the high life at someone else's expense. Now it's all come back to smack them in the face.

Spandau Ballet are still very, very popular. They were on the tv a lot not so long ago. Are you going to the games? Sounds brilliant to me. You won't have to travel far to see them anyway. Come on Sark. You can get a few golds. lol

No, whatever wipes us out will wipe the apes out. We want a world that just has creatures in it to exist. None of this creating ever bigger and better weapons to kill as many as possible of the other 'tribe'. None of this my God is better than your God s**t. As for Planet of the Apes. Pure fantasy. When would you ever see a chimp wearing a leather jacket. lolol

Hmmm - seems fine. Are they a Juventus fan who didn't like the fact Barcelona were a massively superior team and I hailed their front 3 as the greatest attacking trio in club football (Suarez, Messi and Neymar)

  • May not be great but forward news should enable a rerate. BUY now this is seriously undervalued IMO

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

I agree that there's more to come with Greece. I still think it's a wind up to inject some volatility into the markets though. I had to laugh this morning while watching tv. Some 'expert' was on saying that the Germans and others in Europe should be thankful to Greece for driving down the euro so that exports are cheap and companies are booming and the value of these companies have driven the stock markets to record highs. Not a peep about trillions of euros ploughed into the markets in the name of QE. Some of these people need beating with a big stick. lolol

There's not been much said on the tv about the Tour. I saw a bit on the news about the crash they had but it seems very low key this year. I suppose it's all about the tennis and on Wednesday the ashes kick off so the cycling has very stiff competition. At least we beat Germany at the women's football. Not that I watched it.

I think Man U are trying to make themselves look busy in the transfer market. lol. I can't see past Man City and Chelsea again this year.

That's pretty amazing about Mr Woolford. They must of both had a shot of the fate virus. lol. That episode of Red Dwarf was brilliant. I still laugh at the luck virus. lolol.

There's been far too much interference in the Chinese stock markets by the central bank and now the Chinese government. The rich have made their money and now it's time to crush the little man. Nothing new there.

The spreadbet companies got very nervous last night with the rises in the futures and slapped the big margins on out of the blue. They'd sent another email this week saying they were going to increase margins at the weekend again but they brought them in early. Just follow the charts and they tell you when, roughly, to buy and when to sell. It's been the best 2 weeks ever for me. Last week brought in 1834 points and this week so far has brought in 1256 points but I'm leaving it at that now. I've enough longs and shorts to keep me going whichever way we go. Pity I'm only playing for £1 a point. lolol. It's the volatility everyone wants, not this tippy toeing up and down.

Talking of divis. In 4 weeks time we're going to have the biggest divi payouts of the year for 3 weeks running and you can guarantee that the FTSE players will play for that. Plenty to go on the upside at the moment and adding in the big divis I'm going to be a bit careful until those divi weeks have passed.

Bet the Aussies are kicking themselves for missing that Root catch. lol. That's what changes games though. I still think the Aussies are superior to England though. It's going to be another one of those series where one or two people stand out but when they lose their form you'll see the real England. lol

That's incredible that Wales are in the top 10. England must be about 154 by now. lol. How have the Welsh got there though? They haven't made it to any big competitions so I don't see how they can improve their standing.

I can't imagine any spin off from Big Bang Theory. It's all or nothing. lol. I remember after Friends finished. They made a spin off of Joey. It just didn't work. I can't see anyone from Big Bang being big enough to pull it off.

at last Moon - we are live again. Gawd knows what has been occurring here, but what do you think of Steven Gerrards career and will he score tomorrow?
HAd our 15th wedding anniversary today, went well, had a table booked at the restaurant for 7:30, still sitting waiting for it by 8:15 so got up and left - they had accidently let it go to somebody else, so am here eating chicken nuggets from M&S lol. Shame because it is our 15th, on the 15th May, 2015 so was supposed to be special
Remember I bought those Kier about a month ago @ £15.97? Well they have just agreed to buy Mouchel and got a letter to say they are doing a rights issue 5 shares for every 7 held @ £8.58! Bargain! Well happy with that!

    Unusually Big Move!! Up $1.00/4%

    by A Yahoo! User Jul 10, 2015 3:53 PM

indeed. finally through 26...that's a big level. 15 year high just about...

  • When are they going to announce the pricing for the secondary?

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • All is well with the world. Conservatives have been elected. The share price has received a nice boost and sitting over my september target of 88p. It looks as if it will maintain the 88p level.
Government sell program comes to an end at the end of next month although it could be extended.
If it finishes this will stop some of the drag on the share price. Important date is in end of July for results. Let us hope for some more high end results that should push lloyds into the low nineties.

    Sentiment: Buy

oaky - is it because I mentioned buying BLND and Kier - and KIE is flying after the rights issue has concluded, or is it that the Yahoo police don't like the fact I didn't watch the Man Utd documentary?
