HONOR, WHAT SAY YOU......?
Sentiment: Strong Buy
"I could tell you that, there are a variety of different products, variety of products. As far as standalone is concerned, if you look at the standalone ecosystem, we believe it becomes a very attractive offering; because think about what happened over the past couple of years. First of all, there is the HDMI and miniature, so basically, video out function was added to all of the cellphones and tablets, that's number one. And about a year and a half ago, the new wireless capability was added to the same products, which means now, you can have two standalone devices, cellphone and a projector or tablet and a projector, and a projector is the -- the size of the projector is less than the size of the phone. So it offers pretty compelling value proposition as an application. It was not the case even three-four years ago, because you need to connect it with cables, and now you don't have to have cables, they have two devices talking to each other, and project it anywhere you are. And in many cases, you didn't even need Wi-Fi connection to get it done. So its really the companion projection application, has its own merit, and we believe that a lot of people would love this experience, as was evidenced by Celluon's reviews."
Revenues are not ramping in Q2 as the CEO forecasted at the Q2 2014 CC. Verizon have not launched WiFi calling despite the huge market demand. Are the two connected?
I think they are. So when Verizon launches WiFi calling in the Summer, SMSI revenues will start to ramp.
1. "creator" is opinion...stupid, mindless, superstitious, ignorant, cowardly and groundless opinion
Some posters suggest that ALU has accepted unfair conditions for the merger, assuming that they would miss on the next earnings report. I believe this is utterly far stretched and most unlikely. A merger of this magnitude cannot but be the result of a long process of analysis and thought; I am convinced that many consulting firms have assisted the management of both companies to come to the decision to enter into merger talks.
When analyzing the Q1 results of Nokia as recently published, one can read the message that margins are under pressure and that the necessary critical mass in terms of market share is the only way to cope with the increasing development costs. I believe that the forthcoming projects for 5G and the IoT are a case in point; the costs to achieve these developments will be huge and require a sizable part of the world market as a base to warrant the expenditure. And we will see similar challenges in the router segment etc.
Given the difference in the balance sheets of the two companies, it is easy to understand why Nokia could take the lead; also the French Government understood this and thus supports the Finnish lead. There will, anyhow, remain a substantial role for the French R&D center, currently employing 6000 staff.
We, as investors in ALU, better embrace the new project. Not only is there no alternative but I truly believe in its business model.
If you knew all what you say you know/knew you wouldn't have gotten clobbered.
Horrible management, criminal probes and a CFO on the run.
No one needs this company, it does nothing better than ours come etitors.

I am looking in the mirror Chuckles, but what does that have to do with Jeb's junkie kids?
Democrats didn't support that war, they were lied to just like the rest of the country was. Your DUBYA said he would us military action as a last resort. As soon as congress agreed he pulled the weapon inspectors out and rushed to war.
What are the negatives. Solar is creating a future for solar repairmen, big time. This stuff tends to fail right after the warranty is done.
