Had to get rid of a few managers that did not play this last year so I am looking for some replacements to take over their teams. 6 Keepers - 3 hitters, 3 pitchers (at least 1 RP and SP). Reply with questions. This is a head to head league.
I always try to win now, not later. Obviously you can't go wrong with any of them but Donaldson is the best player of the three. 3rd base may also be the weakest position this year.
It doesn't matter. Neither pitches enough innings to have a substantive affect on your ERA and WHIP and both will get approximately the same number of saves.
I'm not one to bug you on your opinions because its just that (an opinion) but he has at least 9 batters who should start in a 10 team league. martin is the 4th ranked catcher, Pujols is 12th so def "startable" (excluding Posey), Altuve obviously, Franco is 9th Rendon 10th and Sano is 5th 3b's, Pollack and upton are obviously top 50 players, Davis is 8th 1b. I'm not sold on the offense either but lets not act like those are not a "startable" offense in a ten team league.
For pitching he reached for saves and it cost him depth at SP and he overdrafted bench hitters (a common mistake) and lost out on some SP depth.
Its a 6th place team imo but not a trainwreck as you describe. Come on man.
Sano's best upside comparison is not Stanton.
Sano's best upside comparison is a hybrid of Joey Votto's batting average and plate discipline with Adam Dunn's power. I am not sure what that works out to be..maybe Paul Goldschmidt without the foot speed and base running ability.
I have the 5th pick and I'm assuming one of these guys will be there. I like them all but which one this year?
Josh Donaldson- If he falls
Is Donaldson at 5 really "falling"? He goes there in plenty of drafts... ones where Kershaw goes top 4, or Machado.
