had a great result today Moon. Went to our local JEC shop casing out a new Samsung 48" curved 3D 8500 series TV, and really fancied it, but had to wait for Mrs Grim to feel well enough to go. So went tonight, and it was £300 less than last week! Well happy!. They gave me a £100 voucher to use next month as well, so will get a 3D bluray player with it - they also knocked off the £15 delivery charge, and told me it was easy to set up so not to pay £15 to get them to do it. This thing is future-proofed as well, and is compatible with 4K when that comes out, and is a Smart TV, so has Netflix, bbc Iplayer, youtube etc built in. This is a new era for us!!!

Blimey Moon - a great sporting weekend for you, Utd beating city at the Etihad, and England winning the Slam - long while since you've been able to celebrate that hard lolol. Beats supporting Wales and Portsmouth hands down!
Spring is springing at last - no more cold stuff please - hitting the dizzy heights of 13" this Easter weekend, so not quite beachy, but heading that way. What with the clock change and all, feeling a bit more positive.
Watched Lord Of the Rings last night - new TV breathing new life into old films lol. Putting on Shrek tonight to check out animated improvements - even enjoyed watching the Voice - amazingly colourful. Best investment in entertainment I have ever made.
Not much going on the FTSE today, not sure how you would trade this, just hold onto everything until some breakout either way?
Okay, hot dogs or cereal for tea tonight - these are the dilemnas in life lol

Yes, a good win with 3 cracking goals against Germany but we reverted to type against Holland tonight. A great pity about losing Cruyff. A true great from our era.

No storm damage up this way for a change. lol. I don't think we even had much rain.

Yes, I'm a fan of Happy Valley. Series 1 was just as good as series 2. Do you watch Line of Duty? That's another favourite of mine.

I've been clearing out the loft the last few days and I'm only half done. Been chucking out old dvd recorders, tv's, old laptops and even vhs recorders. Haven't a clue why most of this stuff ended up in the loft but getting rid of it has certainly made a difference.

I don't think a ban on the ISIS coverage will deter them. They'll probably just ramp up their atrocities to make sure they are in the news. It's all just so twisted as to how they think. Like I've said before, I can't see an end to it now, even if Trump does get into the White House and bombs them to smithereens. The Israelis have the right idea. For every suicide bombing in their country, they blow up their people twice as hard. An eye for an eye. As much as they suffer, the bombers' countrymen and family will suffer twice as much.

A nice drop and recovery on the FTSE today. I'm still buying any dip so it's working quite nice at the moment.

Hillsborough has been a national disgrace. Corruption, secrecy, hiding and getting rid of evidence. This was all out in the open years ago and they've just got around to getting to the bottom of it and giving a verdict after 27 years. It's just never ending and with these *&^*oles in charge and nothing will ever change. That Brazillian bloke killed in the tube station is another one. They just hide the truth and get away with it. These poor families will never get any peace from all this. Confirming the police were at fault 27 years ago won't bring those poor people back.

I thought it was forecast as 2.25p for the year so another 1.5p hopefully.

  • Seriously, grow up. The postings on this board over the past year or so have completely trashed it. You two included. No one gives a #$%$ for your constant biatchin BS. Like 2 bored biatches trying to sniff the others #$%$ whilst trying to swallow the last turd you ate. Truth is really no-one gives a #$%$ about you or the other, so go on stick your tail between your legs and leave the board. Why don't you start your own board. OPPIE DOG AND THE #$%$ the you can go at it all day long like the pathetic crust suckers you are. Or maybe meet up, get a room and suck each others balls for a week in the aim of getting over it.
Am so completely done reading this trash that I'm writing this in the aim of being blocked completely by trashy Yahoo board with the follow up aim of actually convincing myself never to read this board again. It's completely pathetic and beyond belief that you two are still going at it like anyone gives a monkeys. Complete Muppets...my kids have more sense than you #$%$. The oldest is 7! Get a life!

Long Term Sentiment Disclosure: Get the #$%$ off the Board or #$%$. Please feel free to report me, thank you.

  • Well said Steve, I have been accumulating for last few months in different accounts including my wife. It could be a life changing investment .If it plays out as I think it will TRXC can easily dwarf ISRG rise with a decade.

Good grief, never expected you back here Mark, but great you are here again. Looking to come back to Aus as soon as, so we can catch up then, I know which stop to get off at now lolol. Been busy buying up stocks at these levels, topped up on HSBC, AZN and GSK just before they went ex-div, and swapped out from BP to RDSB - I like their BG takeover and can see a more sustainable divi there. FTSE seems range-bound at present, sell-off to a certain level, then buy-up to the glass-ceiling.
Been out and about for brothers birthday and annual Northern Soul night with Mrs Grims cousin, but too damn cold to really enjoy anything here - still not acclimatised over here and hating it - can't believe that this time last month I was bouncing around in Coolangatta waves, and still warmer in Sydney despite storms when we were there.
Watched "The Martian" with Matt Damon the other night, cracking movie and right up your guy's street. He has racked up a decent portfolio of films now - must get "Invictus" in the collection. Got a big car boot sale getting rid of blurays and DVD's now that the digital collection has taken shape. Must get a replacement ipod for the one I lost in Sydney.
What an achievement for the Big Bang Theory - 200th episode filmed this week, and still fresh. Have either of you checked out the new X-Files season? Loving it! Saw they were advertising it on sides of buses in Brisbane - that's when you know a programme has made it lolol. Did wonder why 6ft images of Mulder and Scully were staring back at me until I saw previews on Channel10. Great to see it back, and more in keeping with original themes.
    Roll on Coldplay concerts....

I was speaking to someone yesterday who was at the match on saturday and he said Sunderland were all over Man U. I don't think they can sink any further and it's only because of mediocre teams outside the top 4 that they are where they are. It looks like everyone's protesting about the cost of match tickets. That's been long overdue. £91 to watch a Chelsea match. It's just laughable.

Wherever there's money, there's thieves and scallywags. I hope they catch whoever took that voucher and make an example of them. If you can't trust people where you work, who can you trust. It was a good job that you and Mrs Grim were away at the time of all that happening. It would have been mighty stressful for her if she'd have been under suspicion.

I've been sorting stuff out for the arrival of my car on 1st march. It's all been registered, taxed and insured so I just have to pay for it when I pick it up. It's always exiting getting a brand new car even if it is money down the drain. lol. Still, I've been the poor man of the street for a while with my old cars but now I'll be top dog and will have to start looking down my nose at some of the bstds. lolol

The markets have been great. It's big divi season. Better known as bear hunting season. lol. The iii board is ridiculous for bear talk. Some of them must be getting their faces ripped off with the shorting they're doing. Like I say, the bottom is always zero but the top can be sky's the limit. We may not have seen the last of the selloffs but I prefer to buy all the way down from the top than selling all the way up from the bottom. Anyway, we need a bit of a pullback to get those daily charts back into a better position for the bulls. We're getting too overbought at the moment so a decent little pullback should see us plough ahead again. Knowing how this works though, it could be that most people have missed the boat and they'll have to buy higher up than they'd sold out for.

,Where are you going this year to see Coldplay? Not Paris I hope. Still a lot of trouble over there with terrorists. Don't they ever play in Jersey? everyone else seems to.

I see you're still going to your northern soul nights.Does Mrs Grim go with you or just you and her cousin? Make the most of getting out and about while you can because the older you get the less you want to do. I'm happy going out for a couple of pints and a couple of meals a week these days. When I think of what I used to do. It's downhill all the way from here.

I picked up my new car on Tuesday and drove it up and down the street a couple of times to make sure everyone saw it. lol.. It's a cracking little car though. It's not it's turn to go out until next Tuesday though. It was the roadsters turn today to have a run out and it'll be the other Audi on Saturday..They've all got to take their turn. lol It's daft having all these cars really but they're all paid for and the old cars still have plenty of life in them.

I've been doing a lot of decorating the last couple of weeks and it's coming to an end now. I just have to lay some laminate flooring and the bottom end of the living room is finished. The rest of the living room needs doing but I'm having a rest now and may start that in the summer. There's been a lot of chance in my house over the last year or so but it needed to be done.

My ladyfriend's dog had to be put to sleep on Monday. He was 17 so had lived a long life. I'd known him for 13 years. He'd been dying over the last coupie of weeks and she'd found it really difficult to make that decision but when I went through on Saturday I could see that he couldn't go on like he was any longer and I think she realised that. He was a lovely dog and a lot of people were really upset but his time had come. Mind you, I'm sick and tired with all these dogs dying. My two dogs and now him. It's just a hammer blow every time.

Ex-McCain Aide Will Back Clinton Over Trump

    May 3, 2016By Taegan Goddard103 Comments
Mark Salter, a former top aide to Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), says he will support Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump in November as both candidates appear close to locking down their parties’ nominations, MSNBC reports.

Said Salter: “Basically, I think she’s the more conservative choice and the least reckless one. Trump’s policy views are like some drunk’s rant. If he tried to do anything like he says he will, we’d have no allies, a lot more enemies, and more of them with nukes. Finally, he’s unfit for the office, too, temperamentally and morally, a narcissistic bigot.”

yup, working again. Tired to post on Leap Year day to wish you Happy Leap Year Day on 29th February as I had only been alive for 12 of them, and was totally locked out of the board! Was a biggie for us At work, the FA resigned on the same day the FD walked out of the door for the last time. Cue the sound of jaws dropping to the floor. Doesn't look or feel good.
stocks have been chopping around as much as storm Jake, but chopping upwards generally - March is historically a bullish month if you believe the past has any bearing on the future?
Watched a cracking movie last night called "Crash" from 2004 - what an astonishing cinematic treat it was - never seen it before, and it grabbed best picture Oscar, so they will know how Leonardo feels at this point.
Poor old Leicester, injuries and results are just starting to go against them - SPurs for the title then? At least a certain A Johnson didn't ply his trade for them! Cue 10 years of misery in prison, glass in food, and goodbye football career. I have little sympathy for him.
SO how are you lives going? A little quietly at the moment I guess lolol. Anyway, hope all is well
