Yahoo doesn't do it until teams officially put guys on DL. Teams always wait right up until the season starts. I think it somehow gives them more flexibility if something happens? I can't remember but they wait until the very end for a reason.
Three true outcomes are plays involving essentially just the hitter and pitcher where other defenders do not get involved. As Crasstastic mentioned, those are walk(s), strikeout(s), and homerun(s). Unless your three true outcomes players are Trout, Goldschmidt, and/or Harper then you have taken waaaaaayyy too many risks.
I think you can package Arenado and Freeman for two more well rounded players. Honestly, I would offer Arenado to the Votto owner and make the trade offer Arendao/Freeman for Votto/(his best 3B eligible player).
I would also sell Pederson to the guy in your league that believes in hype. Find the guy with the most rookies and sophomores on his roster and offer Pederson for his most well-rounded veteran OF (you might have to make it a 2-for-2 deal by adding Maeda into the offer).
We have 2 team openings on a 12 team keeper league with 40 roster spots and using 3 keepers
One team's keepers are Justin Upton, Chris Sale & Clayton Kershaw
the other has Nelson Cruz, Robinson Cano & Zack Greinke
Please (as everybody usually says) be an active owner.

New Fun 9X9 Head to Head Inaugural Keeper League
We are looking for a few managers who would like to join our little gang of misfits, for our inaugural season. The plan is to have this league for years and years to come, so come and join in on the fun for the 1st season. This is for people who enjoy baseball and fantasy sports.
Name Where The Riff-Raff's Play
Major league rosters need to be set Sunday (first day of play). Almost everyone that is going to open the season on the DL will hit then. The only exceptions might be players that need to be out for less than 2 weeks. In those few cases, the teams can (probably) only back date the DL start a certain number of days, so the team may need to put them on the DL early so they can bring them off early.
size of the league makes a difference - larger the league the more the hosmer side looks better, but with that said I'd probably want arrieta and rizzo but it's a fair deal
Yes...all three should be owned.
Pillar is projected to lead off the highest run scoring offense of 2015 (and an offense that is largely unchanged).
Forsythe and Kiermaier are projected to be #1 and #2. That counts for something and neither is an absolute zero in talent. In fact, both are above replacement level and Forsythe carries the multi-position tag.
Rosario is a power/speed monster and is projected to bat 5th for MIN. This is a guy that not only led MLB in triples in only about 75% of a season's worth of work in 2015...he also managed a "quadruple-double" (double digit 2B, 3B, HR, and SB).
Duffy is projected to bat 3rd for the Giants. This is an even numbered year so this could be a World Series season for the Giants. That being said...the MLB #3 hitter typically has the most fantasy value of any lineup position as far as it relates to fantasy baseball. Add in Duffy's burgeoning power and his multi-position tag and he should be owned somewhere.

In a head to head league I think Hamilton deserves a bench spot. You may not play him much but if going into the weekend you have a strangle hold on most of the offensive cats ( or are losing bad ) you may want to use a guy like him to steal stolen bases.
