Florida, now you're being your old nasty self! Due Diligence is exactly that..... asking questions that make the situation believable. With you NOT being there, and not knowing what other questions were asked, you're trying to be lawyer, judge and jury without all the facts. 35 years of doing taxes and working with the general public, the last thing I would want to do is keep EIC money out of someone's hands, when they qualify. My intent is to make money during tax season, and turning a client away is NOT good for business, when I know they can go down the road and find another preparer that will not exercise DD. I did ask if he could produce a document showing the children lived with him, and he said he would have to ask his girlfriend! Imagine that? I asked if the girl friend lived with him, and he said NO, she lived with her parents.
I didn't want to write a novel explaining the entire interview, as I assume all preparers are asking the same questions. BUT, you assume your own knowledge is so far above any one elses' you've looking for fault when there isn't any. I haven't taught tax classes for over 25 years without understanding what it takes to qualify for EIC. YES, I am aware of ALL the rules and my responsibility in getting the client every dime he qualifies for! I'm also aware there is a responsibility on my part to follow the tax code. You sir, are the scarey one!

right H2O, just like the spike in summer of 2008 totally wrecked the consumer and the perfect storm of the financial crisis hit in Sept-Oct 2008 as the consumer was totally tapped out. This time it will be the same thing, decelerating sales, earnings, compression in profit margin and perhaps a derivative crisis. remember the four large US banks hold $217 T of the $230 T in world derivatives. Buckle up February and March will be huge down months for equities.

The options are there to grow your own vegetables, make your own coffee, make your own beer, make your own bread. I suppose you and everyone you know does these things instead of shopping at the grocery store, right? For every 1 person that does this on there own there's a huge amount that don't. Furthermore we're talking about a majority of people with health issues who probably aren't going to want to deal with what goes in to growing their own. Until the company is PROVEN to be a fraud I'll keep my money where there is growth potential. You don't like the company? Get off the #$%$ forum.

bio7mm, two of the main reasons I invested in MRNA was even the bashers believed they had ground-breaking technology. They just didn't think MRNA would get their new science to market quickly enough. The second reason I invested in MRNA, was Michael French's previous business experience. He was involved with Sirna and that company was purchased by Merck for over one billion dollars in 2006. Over the last three years, I have been truly disappointed with French and the entire MRNA board of directors. They have been completely incompetent.

As one who has been in this stock since it was Lidak (so a true "oldavnrinvestor) , please take a bit of advice.

Folks will be more inclined to engage in meaningful "conversation" with if you tone back the attitude... no one here is your enemy. We all want to make money (even the shorts, in their own way) but nothing stated on this board has ANY impact on the price.

Sentiment: Hold
