Does anyone care to comment on why TDS is down so much on their 3Q 2011 earnings report? They raised their range for operating income by $20 million on both the low and high end of the range. Sure, they had a $12.7 million one-time gain on an investment during they quarter, but isn't that better than a one-time loss? Perhaps the conference call was just another reminder of how shareholder unfriendly the management team is.....is that it? I can't believe they would consider issuing even one TDS share in an acquisition when the value being attributed to TDS is a negative value, when backing out their holdings in USM.
