Delia's is not unique but it is not an Aeropostal either..
American Eagle, Aeropostal, A&F have never had to redesign themselves like Delia's has had to do. That's what this "turnaround" is all about. They are elephants and we are gazelles.
What we expect is numbers slightly better than a year ago and even or ahead of last quarter.
Don't be trapped by unequal comparisons. Sears and Penney's are dinosaurs.....we have a niche that management is taking full advantage of.
Look at the old web site and the new if you want a futuristic view of where management is taking us..
"Interestingly, Aeropostale’s colossal drop hasn’t had much impact on other teen retailers today. American Eagle Outfitters (AEO) has gained 0.6% to $10.83 today, while Tilly’s (TLYS) has dropped 0.3% to $10.48, Abercrombie & Fitch (ANF) has declined 0.3% to $37.10, and Buckle (BKE) has fallen 2.1% to $45.10."
Taken from Barron's I believe.....
ARO has taken a hard lesson....what dElia's already experienced last year...
