    Go to Boingo website and..

pull up a map of your city on their site. They show all their WIFI hotspots on the map. In my city of Minneapolis, Boingo has a handful of sites posted on the map. However, the number of free WIFI hotspots in my city in literally in the hundreds - possible over 1,000.

Their model makes no sense to me.

    • Good point, but don't forget too that the City of Minneapolis signed a 10-year contract with USI Wireless of Minnetonka to provide Minneapolis with cutting-edge broadband technology. They are probably one of the most connected cities in the US. The wireless network covers all 59 square miles of Minneapolis providing residents, businesses and visitors with wireless broadband access anywhere in the City. The network will allow the City to deliver services more efficiently and effectively than ever before. The wireless contract also includes benefits to the community that go far beyond what any other city in the country has negotiated
