    PrimeSense game changer

Primesence solutions are in the area of sensory inputs for a range of consumer and commercial markets- PrimeSense embeds its technology in its own sensors , the Carmine 1.09 and Carmine 1.09 and the yet to be released Capri 1.25 which will be available as an embedded solution. Capri 1.25, touted by the company as the world's smallest 3D sensor, debuted at international CES 2013.
Although the first application was for gaming, the company's hardware and software platform can be adapted to any type of electronic device . PrimeSense is well known for licensing the hardware design and chip used in Microsoft’s Kinect motion-sensing system for the Xbox 360 in 2010. Mr. Defu #$%$, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TechFaith, said, "TechFaith's gaming unit has established itself as a leading gaming business by leveraging motion technology online and on handsets. In evaluating the strategic direction with the greatest potential, moving into the 3D motion sensing market offers us a compelling opportunity to further build on our strong carrier relationships, and our development, content, and technology expertise. This agreement will give TechFaith's 17FOX gaming unit access to critical, proven 3D motion sensing technology, which will give gamers new, immersive feelings when playing games as they will no longer need to hold hardware in their hands to control games.
Based on the agreement, both sides will jointly develop, popularize and sell 3D motion sensing games and applications in China by taking advantage of PrimeSense's 3D motion sensing technology. Those games and applications are said to enable users to play games by using cameras to catch body movements.
In addition, Techfaith also announced a new brand and logo-17FOX-for its game and branded mobile phone businesses. TechFaith plans to feature new ruggedized smart phones and a medical smart phone, along with some of most popular mobile devices from its existing portfolio.

    • Hmmmm seems like rchites likes to post long winded pumping post like some our other favorite past names ableguy and raerae. I don't know if its a game changer but seems like they like to change the name of the company every couple months! That's always a good sign, means the company has some real doer's in the marketing department.... and the sign changing business.
