Make your own decision as to buy or not to buy but be careful. The price of the stock is being controlled by a few savvy investors who prey on the Cramer hype hoping people will not pay attention to his last caveat....do not buy now...put in an order for the secondary issue with your broker...if you do not get it then do not buy the stock and wait for another opportunity to arise. The price of the secondary issue will more than likely be closer to $20.00 than to $25.00...even S & P who downgraded the outlook to negative feels it may be difficult raising the $500 million in this environment based upon sketchy information UIL provided. UIL is already paying out 89% of profits for their current dividend so the three companies purchase would have to earn enough to keep that payout ratio intact. Be realistic and do your homework...or you could be sorry.
Good analysis but think it: You don't sell your business if it is running well. You sell it because there are may be some problems that you want to get away from them. It is a common sense not the complexes issues.
